I am looking for information concerning the marriage of a Clarissa DICKEY, born in Alstead, New Hampshire, about 1812, the daughter of James and Anna [GILMORE] DICKEY, of Alstead. She was married in St. Francisville, Missouri in June of 1841 to a Mr.Hanson Hawkins of St. Louis, Missouri, and he was born in Springfield, Vermont the son of Capt.George Washington and Hannah [MANSUR] HAWKINS of Springfield. The following Thomas Binford WINSTON family should be listed in a Clark Co. census, but I have been unable to find them.
Thomas Binford WINSTON served war with Mexico c1846 to 1848, went to CA with gold rush Dec. 1848 via New Orleans, Chagres and Panama City to San Francisco. Served on jury that convicted some of the “Hounds” who were terrorizing San Francisco in 1849, was partner with Jonas SPECT 1849/1850 found town of Fremont on Sacramento River at mouth of Feather River.
He returned from CA ca 1850/51 to Shelby Co. TN. where md 1 Nov. 1853 in Shelby Co. TN. to Maria Louisa NELSON They had 5 ch, all b Chambersburg, Clark Co. MO.:
1. Louisa Watkins WINSTON, b 6 Apr 1864 md ??SHANES;
2. Sadie WINSTON, b 20 Oct 1866 (My Grmother);
3. Mary Marie (Mamie??) WINSTON, b 12 Aug 1868 md ca1895 NE. Martin CAPE;
4. Thomas Charles WINSTON, b ? ? 1874;
and
5. Emily WINSTON, b. ? ? d 1878 of diptheria.

I am looking for information about John R. TALBOTT who married Martha SUTTLESWORTH. At one time he lived in Alexandria, MO where his son Harry C. was born (1873). He had at least two other sons, Charles W. and Ernest H., and two daughters (first names unknown).

Mariah or Maria, (COOLEY) BENNER is to be buried in Kahoka, MO. died before 1910. Her husband Christopher BENNER b. 1823 is to be buried there also, he died in 1914 in Gary , Ind., no cemetery name is known, just family saying so. Any helpers out there??? I have looked in cemetery books but havent found them.
