I am seeking information on the family of Zebulon SORTORE and Nancy A. HOGLAN (HOAGLAND). Zebulon SORTORE, son of Henry SORTORE, Jr. and Charity STOUT, was born in Somerset Co., NJ on 1 Augus 1788 and died in Clark Co., MO on 1 May 1861. He is buried in Mc Coy Cemetery, Clark Co., MO. He was married to Nancy HOGLAN, daughter of Abraham HOAGLAND, in Dryden, Tompkins Co., NY on 10 Feb 1812. She was born in NJ about 1787 and died on 7 Apr 1863. Zebulon was identified as living in Fayette, Seneca Co., NY in the 1820 Census. He immigrated to Lee Co., IA aft 10 Mar 1845 and then to Clark Co., MO about 1851. He was living in Alexandria, Clark Co., MO in Mar 1856. Zebulon and Nancy had the following children: Elizabeth F., b. 23 May 1813, m. Robert F. SIMMONS about 1833; William, b. 17 Mar 1815, Ovid, Seneca Co., NY; Charity, b. 16 Mar 1817, Fayetteville, Onondaga Co., NY; Margaret Jane, b. 12 Mar 1819, d. 15 Jan 1911, Green City, Sullivan Co., MO, m. James Martin CAMPBELL on 23 Jan 1844; Charity, b. 26 Dec 1822; Sarah, b. bet 1824-1826, New York; Abram, b. 30 May 1826, Friendship, Allegany Co., NY, m. Zarina MEAD on 3 Jul 1853 and Henry JACKSON, b. 26 Mary 1831, Amity, Allegany Co., NY. I have information on the ancestors of the SORTORE family going back to the early 1700's and some allied families going back to the early 1600's to share with fellow researchers.

Looking for any SHACKELFORD family remaining in the Kahoka area. My great-grandfather, Merritt SHACKELFORD, b. 12 March 1827 in Kentucky, married Mary JORDAN in Kahoka on 7 October 1871. He died in Kahoka 12 January 1887 in Kahoka and is buried there. Any relatives on either the SHACKELFORD or JORDAN side would be heartily welcomed. Their son, Edward, married my grandmother, Peachie BLACKSTONE, in Vinita, OK, in 1902. They moved to Webbers Falls, OK, and spent much of their married life in that area. He died in Muskogee, OK, on 20 August 1947. Please reply if there is anyone out there that can help me. Thanking you in advance.

James Finley JUSTICE b. 2/28/18965 Son of James Turpin JUSTICE. Avereller STURGEON b 12/27/1867 in Kentucky m 1/6/1896 in Clark County. Looking for information regarding Lula COUCHMAN. Lula married John BISHOP in December 1976. They lived in Bible Grove, Missouri. Born son Joseph January 1979 Lula died September-October 1979. I think John BISHOP met her in Clark County Missouri but I know for certain they were married in Scotland County, Missouri. She was supposed to have been born in Kentucky. Her family came from Kentucky. John BISHOP's father was Nelson BISHOP. John BISHOP's mother was Tempy BISHOP. Does anyone know were Lula is buried?

I am interested in finding out anything about the following people; Charly A. COX b. 12/1858 in MO who married, in Howell Co on 9/29/1883, Sarah FOSTER b. 5/1867 in Athens, Clark Co. MO. Sarah's parents were possibly Samuel FOSTER b. about 1834 place unknown but maybe TN and Sarah COX b. unknown place unknown, they were married 05/07/1865 in Newton Co. I am looking for information on Henry Clay BENNETT born 1844 in Clark County MO. He was married to Elisha SUTTLES. They had a son named John Ruebin BENNETT born Sept. 21, 1881 in Rockport, MO. This is all the info I have but would appreciate any pertaining information.
