I am looking for information on the family of George W. STEVENS who was in Clark Co. at the time of the 1860 census. He was a nephew of Confederate Vice-president Alexander W. STEVENS. My information shows he was guardian for a John Charles BETTEN.

COMBS, Thomas b about 1799 wife Evy (Eva) WHITMER born about 1808, children Peter b 7 Dec 1840, Albert b about 1841, Ephraim C. b about 1837, Sarah b about 1843, Eliza b about 1845. Thomas and Evy moved to Clark Co. from Muhlenberg Co., KY. after 1850. Their son Ephraim C. was married to an Elizabeth SPURRIER in Muhlenberg Co., KY. I don't know who the other children married. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
