Seeking information on Thomas ROGERS and his family. My records show Thomas was born Sept. 17, 1790 in New York and died Sept 4, 1881 in Alexandria, Clark County, Missouri. According to the 1880 Clark County, Missouri Census he was living with his daughter's family. This daughter was Louisa ROGERS BOYLES born abt. 1842 in NY. She married Archibald BOYLES on Nov. 5, 1865 in Adams County, Illinois. Archibald was born abt. 1835 in PA. The 1850 census shows Louisa and Archibald's children as follows:
BOYLES, Phebe E. born abt 1869 in MO.
BOYLES, Annette R. born abt. 1870 in MO
BOYLES, Margaret E. born abt 1873 in MO
BOYLES, Geneva B. born abt 1877
Thomas ROGERS served as a Pvt. in the War of 1812. By 1850 he was settled in Lima Township, Adams County, Illinois. He married Margaret S. BALLEW (?). She was born in 1800 in NY. and died Jan 13, 1871. Their children were:
ROGERS, Clark E. born March 28, 1829 in Lyons County, NY ( married Mary E. LAUGHLIN and Mary E. WARD) Lived Mendon Township, Adams County, Illinois
ROGERS, Hester or Esther born July 24, 1831 in NY (married James H. EDDY, Jr.) Lived Keene Township, Adams County, Illinois
ROGERS, Eleanor T. born abt. 1834 in NY (married John K. LAWRENCE)
ROGERS, Lewis born abt.1836 in NY
ROGERS, Margaret born Jan 11, 1838 in NY (married Thomas HARDY) Lived Hancock County, Illinois
ROGERS, Caroline born abt. Feb 24,1840 in NY (James Henry ROSS, Jr.) Lived Hancock County, Illinois
ROGERS, Louisa born abt. 1842 in NY (married Archibald BOYLES)
Thomas and his wife, Margaret are buried in a lot which was owned by Thomas in Franklin Cemetery, Adams Co. Illinois along with Amelia ROGERS Jan 181877-Nov 15, 1897, Clark E. ROGERS March 28, 1829-April 27, 1889, Mary E. WARD ROGERS Nov 3, 1846-Jan 3, 1916, Wilma and Helen ANDERSON (no dates)
