I have a surname to add to the Clark Co. list, my gggf was Wilmon T. NEWCOM and on September 1, 1838 he was issued a land patent, Doc. #13506, for 160 acres in sec. 35, Township 64-N, Range 9-W. It is my understanding that the family lived on the farm until some time after the Civil War. I'm sure there were other NEWCOMs in the area. Anyone wanting to discuss this line please contact me.
