I now consider the death records for Cooper County, Missouri to be complete. All known record sources since the inception of the county through the year 1955 have been examined and transcribed. The records begin with the Cooper County Mortality Schedules for the years 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880. These are transcriptions from the microfilm records held by the State Historical Society of Missouri. These schedules record the deaths prior to the year of each ten year federal census. The Cooper County Record of Deaths from 1883 through 1888 are transcriptions taken from a copy of the mircofilmed records of the original records, held at the Cooper County Court House. Finally the Cooper County Death Records 1910 to 1955 are excepted from the database of the state of Missouri. Changes and corrections have been made to the excepted copy. As always the patron is encouraged to review the original records.
