She taught grade school for several years and was a seamstress. She had lived in Cassville for the past 30 years. She married Charles A. Young on May 5, 1960, in Bisby, Arizona, and he preceded her in death February 12, 1981. Survivors include one sister and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six sisters. Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Polly Heidleage and one brother, Marshall Rose. Nora graduated from Pierce City High School. For twelve years she was a beautician. She had worked for Jake Mahaffey Real Estate, becoming an appraiser and was a CASA Volunteer, as a court appointed advocate for children. For several years she was owner of Laminated Panel Systems. Nora lived in Washburn, Missouri for eight years and Wheaton, Missouri for six years before residing in Cassville, Missouri for the last eighteen years. Research Note: Daughter of the late Elmer and Margaret (Diebold) Mettlach. Kathleen graduated from Pierce City High School Class of 1949. She was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the St. Lawrence Alter Society (PCCW). She loved being with family, being outdoors and sitting for hours watching birds and squirrels playing in her yard. She enjoyed helping her friends, family and church with a smile. On May 28, 1949, Kathleen Marie Mettlach married Willmer Clayton Younker in Pierce City, they were married seventy-three years before his passing in Dec. of last year, creating good memories together. To this union, three children were born. Kathleen is survived by one son; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers; six sisters; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by one son, Timothy B. Younker; one daughter, Annette Younker; and one brother, James Mettlach. July 8, 2023 | Research Note: Olen leaves behind his beloved wife Areli, one-year-old daughter Hannah, and an unborn child expected in Dec. 2023. He is also survived by his parents, Alvin and Naomi Yutzy of Huntsville, AR; six brothers and one sister; his father and mother-in law; sisters & brothers-in-law; 27 nieces and nephews. Olen's life was full and interesting. He was always on the search - for the next adventure, for a better way of doing things, for a new perspective. He grew up in the Amish community at Bloomfield, Iowa; moved with his family to Missouri; taught school in California; and even lived and traveled extensively in South America. On Aug. 8, 2021, he married Areli Barajas in Tlaxcala, Mexico, and they made many happy memories in their short time together. He was a doting husband and father. Areli and Hannah made his life richer and happier than ever before, and he was excited about meeting his second child later this year. He was devoted to his church family at the Church of Monett and was admired and loved deeply in return. He was also devoted to his family, and often made the two-hour trip to Arkansas to spend time with his parents and siblings. Olen leaves a legacy of generosity and gentleness. His relationships and conversations were marked by deference to others and a love of peace. Even in his zeal for integrity and justice, he asked thoughtful questions and expressed his opinions carefully. He is deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, his church, and his community. Research Note: Purdy, Barry Co., MO resident. He was the son of William J. and Hannah (Courtney) Zahradka. On June 15, 1968, he was united in marriage to Rebecca Mae Schnabel in Napoleon, North Dakota. Jim was a lifetime farmer starting at age of sixteen when he rented his first piece of ground. He also raised Silver and Artic fox. He moved to Missouri in 1980. Jim was a founding and lifetime member of the Rainbow Hunting Lodge in Whitman, North Dakota, and was also a member of the Barry County Watershed Board. He attended the Assembly of God Church in Purdy. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother William L. Zahradka and his sister, Colleen Becker. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2020, at the White Funeral Home. At the family's request face masks are encouraged to be worn. Also preceding him in death were a sister, Marcia Ziehr Brody and brother-in-law, Randy Peiffer. Bob made his career in the lumber and construction material industry working for Neuens Lumber Company and Sheboygan Glass. Bob was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia, WI. He attended grade school and high school in Fredonia, Wisconsin. Bob loved the Harley Davidson comrades he met through many years of owning Harley Davidson motorcycles. He participated in charity rides and was also a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. Another love of Bob's was music and he had his entire home and garage wired so that he could keep the country, rock and blues music flowing. In recent years Bob purchased a Ford Mustang that he kept polished and ready for road trips. He was a United States Army Veteran. For several years he worked for Brinks Inc. as an armored car guard. In 1990 he moved from Chicago to Shell Knob to make his home.
