Rosie attended school in Elcho, Wisconsin, graduating from Elcho High School. After moving to Monett, MO in 1995 she had worked at Tyson Foods and was currently employed by George's Incorporated. On July 14, 1968, in Nettleton, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Velma Pauline Pilant. Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, William Paul "Bill" Echols; one granddaughter, Diane Marie Vergara and a son-in-law, Thomas Ciancio. Jim, as most people knew him, moved to Colorado at a young age. He graduated from high school in Boulder, Colorado and received his Bachelor's Degree in Education. He received his Master's Degree in Theology from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. Much of his life was spent in Colorado, moving from Denver to Shell Knob, Missouri in 2005. Shortly after, she was united in marriage to Gary Eden, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were one son, Brian Cahalan; one daughter, Bridgette Eden; two brothers, Bill Brown and Mark Brown; and one sister, Norma Jean Harris. Surviving are one son; one daughter; one brother; one sister-in-law; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Carla attended school in Cassville, Missouri living in this area her entire life. She was employed as a waitress at The Purdy Diner in Purdy and The Black Kettle in Monett. Carla was also a caregiver for several people in the area. She loved talking on the phone and going to casinos. Carla was of the Christian faith. Research Note: He was the son of Charles Leslie and Molly Sue (Edmonds) Edwards. On March 25, 1977, in Page, Ariz., he was united in marriage to Phyllis Arlene Miller. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and grandparents. He graduated from high school in Canyon, Texas, and moved to Page, Ariz., after meeting Phyllis. He loved music and played the drums in numerous bands. He was a machinist at Salt River Project, Navajo Generating Station in Page until 1997, when he and his family moved to Shell Knob where he owned and managed the Big Bobber Resort and Campground. Phyllis and Jerry now own Campbell Point Boat and RV Storage. He worked construction with Ron Boswell building and repairing houses in the Shell Knob area. He attended Grace Community Fellowship and Lohmer Full Gospel in Shell Knob. Tom owned and operated V-Dub Unlimited in Wichita, Kansas. Tom was a Volkswagen guru and a dune buggy and bicycle enthusiast. Tom also was a member of the Cassville Cruisers. Tom was also preceded in death by his parents, and sister Jodine Elwick. A private family gathering has occurred. Dave attended Lewistown High School in Lewistown, Illinois, where he lettered in many sports and was president of his class. He graduated in 1965. He resided in Joplin, Missouri with his wife and son before relocating to the farm in Jenkins, Missouri in 1984. He owned and operated the Cedar Crest Lumberyard for many years. He enjoyed following and supporting local high school basketball, including radio commentary for games. Dave never lost his Illinois roots, and visited friends and family there as often as he could. Judy was larger than life and loved to travel and have fun. She loved to laugh, saw the irony in life, was quick witted and had a wry sense of humor. She was a modern day "that girl" to her nieces and took them on many weekend adventures when she lived in downtown Chicago. She met the love of her life, Don, and they moved to MO. Judy and her late husband Don owned and operated Bass Haven in Shell Knob for many years where they made numerous friendships and memories. She grew to love the people and the state, and often said she'd only leave "feet first". She was greatly loved and will be missed sorely. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Pat; one niece, Deborah; one nephew, Chris; and many great-nieces/nephews; her stepson, David Engelthaler; very special friends, The Trausch Family and Marina Knight-Fedak. Mr. Erickson served in United States Air Force from as a Radar Technician with the P61 Night Fighter Squadron and was stationed in Japan at the end of World War II following his military discharge. Mr. Erickson worked various jobs including Williams Supply Hardware in Minnesota, real estate and home remodeling in Minnesota, Texas, and Missouri. He attended Trinity Presbyterian Church in Shell Knob, where he was a church elder. Mr. Erickson was also a member of the Lions Club and a Community Building Board member. He worked for Western Electric as a supervisor and department chief in St. Louis, Missouri and also in North Carolina before retiring in 1983. He and Pat moved to Lampe, Missouri where they owned the Lake Inn Resort for nine years. Research Note: Adelle Morgenson and Bill W. Jones. Jan spent her childhood in Bartlesville, Washington Co., OK, graduating from College High School in 1968. She had two brothers and an honorary sister who lived with Jan's family through the Foreign Exchange Service. Jan participated in Girl Scouts, Marching Band, Piano performances, MYF, and aerobic swimming. She helped at her dad's real estate office in the summers. She attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and was a Gamma Phi Beta Sorority member. Her initial field of study was in Interior Design. She started designing her dream house in her spare time. She had a life-changing experience when 2 little deaf girls were added to her extended family. She found her calling to teach deaf children. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Speech-language Pathology in 1972. She went on to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center to get her Master of Science in Deaf Education/Communication Disorders. She was awarded her Professional Certificate for Teaching the Hearing Impaired in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in Feb. 1979. Jan had her first professional teaching job with deaf babies, children, and their parents at the Easter Seals Foundation in Ft. Worth, Texas. She left there when the program closed and moved back to Bartlesville. She accepted a Speech and Language Pathologist position in Dewey Public Schools for several years. She also worked with the Project Echo program, serving preschool hearing-impaired children in the surrounding areas. In 1980, she accepted a hearing, speech, and language pathologist position in the early childhood Special Services for infants through the Preschool Special Services program with Bartlesville Public Schools. She also served the school-age hearing impaired until she retired in 2004. Jan was a beloved teacher, and her work still impacts the Bartlesville community today. Jan married the love of her life, Rick Evans, in Nov. of 1982 at First United Methodist Church in Bartlesville. Rick's three daughters welcomed Jan into their family. In 1986, a son was added to their family followed by a daughter and another son in 1989. They all enjoyed camping, boating, and skiing together, especially at Big Bay on Table Rock Lake. After retirement, Jan and Rick saw their dream house built in the same area. Many happy hours were spent during their extended stay at the Lake House. They made many beautiful memories there. Jan is survived by her five kids; 30+ grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a cousin; five nieces; and her honorary sister. She was loved by many and will be missed by all, especially her best friends. Karen was an active collegiate and alumni member of Zeta Tau Alpha serving on their Sigma chapter house corporation board in the 1980's. She received her white violet 50-year pin from Zeta in May of 1991. Karen received her Masters of Business Administration from Baker University in 1988. In addition to bachelor's and master's degrees Karen graduated from the Harvard University Summer Session Graduate School of Education, MLE Management of Life Long Learning. Karen worked for Mid Continent Council of Girls Scouts from 1969 - 1980 in Kansas City, Missouri as a Field Director and then for Rockhurst University as the Director of American Humanics and the first Director of Service learning from 1981 - 1998. Karen was an honorary member of Alpha Sigma Nu, a Jesuit Academic Honor Society at Rockhurst University. Karen and her husband Harrold lived for 35 years in Overland Park, Kansas and retired to Table Rock Lake in Golden, Missouri in 1998. She preceded him in death on November 29, 1988. He started his career as a sales manager for Western Auto for six years, then in 1956 they relocated in Ulysses, Kansas and he was the co-founder of Ulysses Irrigation Pipe Company. Chloe was at home, resting in her Mama's arms and with her Daddy by her side. During her three month battle with brain cancer, Chloe was exceptionally brave and courageous. Even though Chloe lost her ability to enjoy her favorite activities, she never complained about her illness. Research Note: James Paul Fogarty passed quite unexpectedly from a collision while riding his gas-powered bicycle in Washburn, Barry Co., MO. He is survived by his mother, Georgia Phillip; his father, Paul Fogarty; his grandmother; and many other direct family members. After a serious previous accident and head injury, James developed illness and struggled to completely recover. James was baptized at St. Bernard's in Tulsa and received first communion at St. Elizabeth's in Eureka Springs. James enjoyed fishing as a child but excelled at abstract painting. He was a skilled beekeeper, establishing the Pine Apple Bee Ranch in Washburn. He built boxes, frames, caught wild swarms, raised bees, extracted honey, bottled, labeled, sold, and donated honey. He also made and sold specialty beeswax candles. In addition, he built e-bikes, and gas-powered bicycles and recently became a gas-powered bicycle riding enthusiast. With the help of his friend, Eric, James developed the skills necessary to repair and maintain the bike. He was truly happy, and free when riding. On January 19, 1935 in Bethany, Missouri he was united in marriage to Wilma C. (Exline) Fulton. One child was born into that union. In 1943, Jerauld entered the U.S. Navy where he served aboard the U.S.S. Yorktown and was honorably discharged in 1945. After he finished serving his country he did a variety of things from operating carpet and furniture stores to operating apartment complexes to being a construction inspector. In 1982, Jerauld finally retired at the age of 66. After retiring Jerauld became a very active member in the community. He was the director of the Shell Knob Civil Defense, the Senior Commander at the VFW of Shell Knob, he was the Vice President of the Shell Knob Alliance of Churches, and also a member of the Child Advocacy Council of Barry County, Missouri. Jerauld was a member of the Grace Community Fellowship Church of Shell Knob, Missouri. Jerauld was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Wilma C. Fulton and his parents Ray and Gertrude Fulton. Lynn went to Cassville High School during which time he worked at his father's gas station and met the love of his life at Crow's Restaurant. Lynn and Phyllis Marie Bothwell were married on February 12, 1966. He was a devoted husband, business man and enjoyed his family and friends. He worked and owned Fulton Sanitation in N.W. Arkansas for almost 30 years. He sold his company in 1995 and started Fulton Properties. One grandson passed away in 2015, Jason M. Fulton. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Research Note: She was the daughter of Bert and Ovidea (Smithback) Exline. She was united in marriage to Jerould Fulton in Bethany on Jan. 19, 1935. She worked various jobs throughout her life, the most recent being a bookkeeper for the Polk County Treasurer's office in Des Moines, Iowa. She and her husband, Jerould, moved to Shell Knob in 1980 to make their home. She was a member of the Grace Community Fellowship Church in Shell Knob. Survivors include: her husband of 73 years, Jerould Fulton, of Shell Knob. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Hubert Exline. Research Note: Cassville, Barry Co., MO resident. He was the son of Ralph B. and Vivian F. (Rose) Funcannon. On June 30, 1949, in Peoria, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Joanne Marie Woosley. Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Connie Misner. He grew up in Illinois and was a 1948 graduate of Woodruff High School. He served in the Air National Guard. Throughout his life he had resided in Washington, Indiana and Illinois. For thirty-three years he was employed with Caterpillar Tractor as an electrician, retiring in 1980. In 1981, he moved to Cassville to make his home. Cotton served as a Boy Scout Leader, was a little league and pony league coach, upward basketball coach and was a Christian clown.
