WARF. I am looking for information on John WARF and his wife, Bithia, who were in the 1850 census of Butler County in Ash Hill Township. I do not know death dates or locations for either. Their only listed child in 1850 was my direct ancestor, James Henderson WARF, who later moved to Arkansas. Thank you for any help you can give me.

I am seeking information about the history of Black River Township in Butler County, MO. My great-grandparents, Herman and Johanna HOBERG and children are listed on the 1880 census for this area. I figure they moved to MO around 1876 or 1877. Johanna HOBERG was in Ohio in 1883 and listed as being a widow. I feel that Herman HOBERG may have died in Butler Co. Any suggestions on how to find a death record for this time period? I understand that it was not required during that period to record deaths. Any information on how to obtain history of the area, death information, possible cemetery information, newspaper obituary info. Any assistance in pointing me in the right direction, addresses helpful in obtaining this information appreciated.

My great-grandparents Johanna and Herman HOBERG are listed on the 1880 Butler County census in Black River Township. I think Herman HOBERG died there around 1880-1882. Would there be a record of this in Butler County or in the MO state archives?
