| Text | Darrel Ray "Dutch" Bounous, 68, of Monett, died March 3 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. Mr. Bounous was born February 10, 1938, in Monett, the son of Aurell and Dollie Hartness Bounous. He was a retired service station owner in Monett and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Monett. Survivors include one daughter, one son, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Howard Bounous. Services will be 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, March 7, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Larry Lowery officiating. Burial will be in Waldensian Cemetery south of Monett under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 6, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Barry-Lawrence County Youth Camp. |
