Research Note: She was a daughter of John A. McNally and Florence Clark both born Barry Co., MO. Cause of death was cholera due to very warm weather. - July 23, 1914, Thursday, Cassville Republican, Barry Co., MO - The death angel visited the home of Brother J. A. and Sister Frances McNally and claimed as its victim their only daughter, Bessie Gladys, age 1 year, 6 months, and 25 days. For more than a week she had suffered and lingered near the end of life's journey. The loving parents did everything in their power together with the assistance of a good doctor and a host of neighbors and relatives but the end came and her little spirit was wafted away to the realms of day by the angels to join the loved ones gone before. She was a bright, sweet spirited child and was loved by all who knew her. But she is free from pain, sickness and sorrow and is now resting in the presence of Jesus and waiting the coming of father, mother, and little brothers to join her on the other shore. The funeral was conducted by the writer at New Church at 3:00 o'clock p.m., in the presence of a large audience of sorrowing relatives and friends and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery near by. May heaven's richest blessing attend the bereaved ones. J. T. Brattin. | Death Certificate Online Obit Phyllis Long |

MYERS, Nathaniel Hazen, Dr. | Oct. 1, 1856 | Mar. 31, 1930 | SSW: Alice V. - Research Note: He was the son of Thomas Jefferson Myers and Letitia "Lettie" Maria Hazen. - Cassville Democrat, Apr. 4, 1930 - Barry county friends of N.H. Myers, familiarly known as "Doc", will be grieved to learn that he passed away at the home of some of his relatives near the Arkansas line, last Saturday. He had been a resident of this county, near Purdy, where he owned a farm, for the past several years and was widely known throughout that section of the county. He was one of the county's honorable and upright citizens and had many friends. He was over 70 years of age and was the father of Mrs. Neil Swaffer of Purdy. Mrs. Myers preceded him in death a few years ago. We have been unable to secure an obituary but understand that interment was made beside his beloved wife in a cemetery near Purdy. "Doc" Myers was a personal friend of the Democrat Editor and to know him was to love him. He never came to Cassville but what he visited our office, whether on business or social. He was always welcome and we regret learning of his passing. | Census Online Obit Phyllis Long Photo Diana Cope |
