Mrs. Margaret L. Moore died at 8:45 o’clock Tuesday evening. April 2nd at the home of daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Morris five miles north of Pierce City. Mrs. Moore was sick only five days. She had been in good health until this time, considering her age. She was born in Carroll County, Tenn. She was eight-six years of age. When she was seven years of age, she went with an uncle to Fulton Ky., where she made her home until her marriage to J. T. Moore at the age of seventeen. Mrs. Moore was the mother of thirteen children, four of who preceded her in death, He husband J.T. Moore died April 17, 1911 at the age of 73 years. Until the last four months she had live near Exeter coming there from Kentucky about eight years ago. Four months ago she moved to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Morris where she was kindly cared for. She was converted when young and united with the Baptist church. After her marriage she united with the Methodist church. She was a kind mother and neighbor and a friend to all. She is survived by her nine children, who are Jeff Moore of Tulsa, Okla., Nana Pruitt of Shreveport La., Ellen Herron Elpaso Tex; Joe of Washington; Mrs. Morris of Pierce City, Docai Bandy of Neosho, Mrs. Stribling of Neosho; Chas Moore of Exeter and John of Rogers, Ark. Funeral service were conducted at the New Church north of Exeter on Thursday afternoon April 4 by Chas Vanzandt, H.I. Bradford Funeral Director in charge. |
