Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Bugg were held Thursday afternoon at the Koon Funeral Home, conducted by her pastor, Rev.C. G. Siler, of the Baptist church of which she had been a member since childhood. Rev. Siler was assisted by Rev. Chas. Vanzandt. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Judge Floyd Inman, Chas. Willis, W.C. Blythe and with Mrs. Troy Wilson at the Piano. The flowers were very lovely. Rev. Siler paid Mrs. Bugg a fine tribute as a good Christian mother. At the service the following obituary was read: Fannie Henry Bugg, daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. J.S. Henry was born in Madisonville, Ky., December 9, 1870. At the age of nine years she moved to Marion, Kentucky with her parents, where she grew to womanhood and November 21st. 1893 she was married to E. Grant Bugg. The next day after their marriage they moved to Fredonia, Kentucky. To their union one child was born, Mrs. Virginia Koon, wife of Wm. D. Koon. In August1914 Mr. and Mrs. Bugg moved to Cassville. Three years later Mr. and Mrs. Koon also moved to Cassville where they had all resided since. The husband preceded her in death in 1930. At the age of 13 years she professed faith in Christ, and united with the First Baptist church of Marion, Kentucky; where her parents were charter members. She was the first candidate for baptism in the First Baptist church at Marion, Ky., was baptized by the Rev. Hodge Grayston. After coming to Cassville she transferred her membership to the First Baptist church of Cassville, where she has ever since been a true, loyal member. Until health conditions hindered she was a regular attendant upon all church services and took a very active in all the Women’s meetings. She was also member of the Eastern Star, and took a very active interest in some of the clubs of Cassville. Only a few weeks ago the Garden Club dedicated a beautiful poem to her as an appreciation of her daughters interest in the club. She was an honorary member of the Silver Leaf club. She is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Virginia Koon; four grandchildren, Mrs. Chrisitine Bradley of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Margaret Coleman of Eureka Springs, Ark,; Wm Carter Koon and John Koon of Cassville and three great-grand children; On brother survives, A.M. Henry of Marion Ky.; with many friends and people who loved her. She departed this life at the age of 73 years and 6 days from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Koon, where she received the very best of care and medical attention during the three weeks of her serious illness- Contributed.
