Research Note: Son of the late Mike and Rose (Bartkoski) Abramovitz. He was united in marriage at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sarcoxie, Missouri on Aug. 20, 1960 to Juanita Graskemper; she preceded him in death on Oct. 27, 2010. Chris was a devoted husband, dad, and grandpa. He was a hard worker and had numerous jobs until he became a full-time swine and dairy farmer. After he retired from farming, he and his wife Juanita made wooden stakes for highway and construction projects. They enjoyed bingo and going on trips together. When older, the grandkids and great-grandkids enjoyed PaPa Chris' stories and wisdom. We will miss his love, kindness and generosity. Chris is survived by two sons; one daughter; one brother; one sister; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Juanita; one brother: Mike Abramovitz Jr.; and two sisters: Eileen Abramovitz and Louise Baughman. Burial next to his loving wife Juanita. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pulaskifield, the Monett V.F.W. Post #4207, and the Monett American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Rose; his wife Dolores; one daughter: Barbara Wimberley; two brothers: Edmund Abramovitz and Leo Abramovitz and one daughter-in-law: Teresa Abramovitz. A private family Rosary for Lawrence is being held on Thursday May 14, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow Rosary until 8:00 p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Due to Covid-19 the family has requested that if you plan to attend either of the services on Thursday or Friday that you please wear a facial mask.
