Phyllis' Note: He was a son of George L. Abramovitz, born Poland and Barbara C. Elbert, born Pierce City, Lawrence Co., MO. He married Rose Staponski on Nov. 17, 1919 in Pulaskifield, Barry Co., MO. Had children: Edwin, Lawrence, and Leo. Cassville Republican, Thursday, Nov. 27, 1919 Licenses to Wed George Abramovitz, 23, Monett & Rose Szezepanski (Rose Staponski), 23, Monett February 8, 1908, Saturday, Cassville Democrat - Mr. Schroetter and wife of Capps Creek Township, were in town Thursday, and he informed us that Geo. Abromovitz a prominent citizen of that township, was dangerously injured Tuesday, by his team running away with him. The attending physician thought his recovery was hopeless.
