Mrs. Glenis Brown of Monett, MO was the informant on the death certificate. - Obit: Services for Mrs. Ida Waltrip, 73 years old, who died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Glenis Brown of Monett, will be at 2:30 Thursday afternoon in Mercer chapel. The Rev. C. E. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Oakdale cemetery in Monett. Mrs. Waltrip had lived with her daughter the last two years and had been ill three years. Mrs. Waltrip wad born in Purdy Jan. 30, 1889, and had lived in rural Monett 25 years before moving into Monett two years ago. Her husband, Manford Waltrip, to whom she was married in 1915, died in 1959. Research Note: He was son of the late Harley Benton Willoughby and Mary Eathel (Loving) Willoughby. Garry attended school in Pierce City and graduated with the class of 1968. He then furthered his education by attending Southwest Baptist University. Garry began his many years of ministry in Sarcoxie, pastoring at Morningside Baptist Church. In 1974, he and his family moved to Oklahoma, where he was Pastor of Lenapah Baptist Church. After moving back to southwest Missouri, Garry pastored in Chesapeake, South Greenfield, Carr Lane Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church in Exeter before being called to Temple Baptist Church in Monett. Garry also owned and operated Willoughby Roof Truss, which has been in operation for over forty years. On March 17, 1973 in Springfield, MO, Garry Willoughby and Martha Clotfelter were united in marriage. To this union, three children were born.
