According to family tradition, Thomas D. Dobkins was born
1781 in E. TN. He married Mary Brickey after her first husband, John McAdams died (date unknown). Their first child, John, was born 20 Jan.1811. They moved to MO in 1817 with Mary's father, Girrard, and several other Brickeys. Thomas died 1822 in Washington, Co., MO and Mary died in Crawford Co., MO in 1858. Thomas, John and Evan DOBKINS received E. TN Land Grants on Dunn's Creek in Sevier Co. in
1810. Evan possibly was Thomas' father; if not, then it very likely was Reuben. I would like to hear from anyone with information about this family.

Mary Ann CURRIER, b 1817 Orleans Co VT married in Washington Co MO 1837 Joseph Eusebius ALEXANDER, b. 1815 Washington Co MO. Her father Jacob CURRIER supposedly ran a hotel in Washington Co. Can anyone verify this and provide information? When did he and family arrive in Washington Co?
Supposedly Jacob and his wife Betsy SMITH CURRIER died in Andrew Co, but have not been able to find any trace of them there. Could they in fact have died in Washington Co?
Joseph ALEXANDER, son of Alexander Thompson ALEXANDER and Mary McCORMICK ALEXANDER, removed to Nodaway Co around 1841 or 2--became quite prominent in Nodaway Co. His parents died in Washington Co--buried in Bellview Churchyard near Caledonia. Any info about any of these people greatly appreciated! Thanks--Lorna Dunklee.
