I am looking for any information (birth, marriage, death records, directories, taxes, cemetery records, anything at all) for the VETTERS family. Three generations of the Vetters lived in Coal Township in Vernon County during the 1870's, 1880's and 1890's. Part of the family moved to Colorado after 1902, but I am sure that some of the family likely stayed in Missouri. I would appreciate ANY information!
Thank you -

In looking up information in Vernon Co. MO, I noticed that John Hill was a registered voter in 1866. My ggreatgrandfather, John Hill, was living in MO in at that time, but I can't find out where. He was in Benton Co. in 1870, and possibly at least 2 years prior to that, then he was in Jasper Co. in 1880. He rode with Quantrill on the Lawrence Raid in 1863. I am wondering if the John Hill listed in Vernon Co. might be my ggreatgrandfather?? Another reason it caught my attention is there was also listed a John Foster. John Foster, my greatgrandfather, married John Hill's daughter. John Foster was born in Warsaw in 1846. I was wondering if there would be anymore information on either of these 2 men in records there. I am especiallly looking for anything on John Hill. By the way, my gggreatgrandfather, John Hill's name is John F. Hill. He was born in Va in 1824. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Victoria Sills
