Smith Barlow (S. B.) England
OBITUARY Smith Barlow England was born November 17, 1848, in Monroe county, Kentucky, died March 14, 1928, at Denlow, Mo., age 79 years, 3 months, 7 days. He was married June 29, 1874 to Sarah McNees at Milan, Sullivan Co., Mo. To this union were born five children--C. L. England, Emmett, Idaho; Mrs. W. F. Cotter, Emmett, Idaho; T. F. England, Denlow, Mo.; Mrs. C. L. Webster, Emmett, Idaho; O. S. England, Drury, Mo. He is survived by his wife, five children, eight grand-children and three great grand children. He came to Missouri at the age of six years and remained in this state the remainder of his life. He professed religion in early life and, tho not active in religious work, he lived a clean moral life and was an honored and respected citizen. In the last weeks of his life he renewed his covenant with God and found peace at the end. He numbered his friends by those who knew him. The remains were laid to rest in the Denlow cemetery, there to await the resurrection of the just. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Will Anderson of Norwood.
