Note: Births and deaths were not recorded in Missouri until 1910, although for the period 1883-1893 county clerks were required to register births and deaths and some counties kept these records for other years. Any of these records that are still available should be obtained from the county in which the birth or death occurred or from Records Management and Archives Service, 1001 Industrial drive, POB 778, Jefferson City, Missouri 65101.
