Each of the above library branches has some genealogy material.  All have a copy of the three volume book "TEXAS COUNTY HERITAGE", which was compiled by the Texas County Historical Society.  The Cabool Branch has "The Cabool Enterprise" newspaper on microfilm. The Licking Branch has "The Licking News" on microfilm.  The main branch in Houston has "The Houston Herald" on microfilm.  The main library at Houston also has county census and cemetery records.
