Mary H. Oxley Roush Gallager
Maston
Mary H. Oxley was born in Franklin County, Virginia, Sept. 2, 1852, and died at the home of Ross Maston, near Mountain Grove, Mo., Sunday, October 29, 1944 being 87 years, 1 month and 27 days. When she was 3 years old her parents moved to Indiana, then later to Kansas and finally to Texas County. Mo. On Sept. 12, 1882 she was married to P. F. Roush, who died in 1915; then in June 1921, she was married to Hugh Gallager. He died Nov. 14, 1924. On Sept. 20, 1925 she was married to W. S. Maston. She was converted and joined the Christian Church in March of 1908, but later joined the General Baptist Church at Dunn, where she remained a faithful member. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband W. S. Maston, a sister, and a host of nephews and nieces and other relatives. Funeral services were conducted by M. Q. Kent at the church at Dunn and burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery under the care of the Elliott Funeral Home of Cabool, Mo. The great floral display showed the esteem in which she was held. "Aunt Hannah" has gone on to hear, no doubt, the words "Well done good and faithful servant."
