| The picture above submitted by Larry Wilson shows students
of Scholten School. According to Larry, "The approximate date is 1893-1895,
based on guestimated ages of the known children. My grandfather, William
Erb Wilson, is the little boy in the window at left - he was born in 1885.
The girl and the boy standing in front of the other window are Ida May
Wilson Wise and Ebb Wilson. The girl standing at the right end is Azores
Wilson Hartin (note the extra long hair which runs well below her waist).
The little boy third from the left end is Dote Wilson, born in 1889. I
am not sure if the info is legible on the copies, but on my copy, a little
boy in the front row is holding a slate on which is written, "Charles Ellis,
Teacher." A little girl also in the front row is holding another slate
that says, "Scholten School." The teacher is in the center of the group
standing between rows 2 and 3."
