DANIEL MESSENGER
Daniel Messenger was born circa 1838 in Ohio, the son
of Talcott and Nancy (Vining) Messenger. They came to Missouri and settled
in Taney County in the part that later became Stone County some time in
the 1840's. During the Civil War Daniel Messenger was in the Stone County
Reg. C under Captain Day's Company of the Missouri Home Guard. (Photo
