Nathan Birdseye Macomb was born May 30, 1884. His
wife, Lula May Overstreet was born December 18, 1891. Their daughter,
Sylvia Grace, was born January, 1910. The picture was probably taken
about April 1910, for their first anniversary.
Nathan and Lula May lived just north of the present day Hwy 86 bridge, near Dogwood Canyon, above Indian creek. Nathan's father, Nathaniel homesteaded the land in the1880s. There were 52 steps carved into the rock ledge, for descent down to the creek. Photo courtesy of Vonda
