Acccording to Shirley Gray, "George and Permelia had two sons who died early in their lives, Charley, who died when he was around a year old and little brother who died at about one year, also. Aunt Mada is not in the picture, as also my father, Floyd Gold. He was taking the picture. Uncle Rolla is not in the picture, either. There were 11 children in all, 9 raised to adulthood."
