Owens Cemetery

The Owens cemetery was established in 1881 on about one acre of land that William K. & Sarah Ann (McRay) Owens purchased on 5 June, 1875. William King Owen was the first person buried there.   The only road to this cemetery is an unmarked, unpaved one. It is anout nine or ten miles east of Hill City (which is on Highway 39, Barry County) on the banks of Table Rock Lake. Turn right on the first road past the Owens Public Use area and continue about one mile.
