Edward Pinkney Blackshear, son of Elijah McDonald and Lucinda Blackshear was born in Ripley County, Missouri in 1858.

James Albert Blackshear, son of Elijah McDonald and Lucinda Blackshear was born in 1862 in Lawrence County, Arkansas.

Elijah McDonald Blackshear Jr, son of Elijah and Lucinda Blackshear was born in 1868 in Obion County, Tennessee.

Frances S. Blackshear, daughter of Elijah McDonald Blackshear Sr & Lucinda Blackshear was born in 1870 in Obion County, Tennessee.

Note: Frances Blackshear married James Carr in Cleburne County, Arkansas in 1890. The family of Elijah McDonald Blackshear, including Elijah McDonald Sr., Wife Lucinda, children William J., Nancy E., Edward Pinkney were found in the 1860 U.S. Census for Lawrence County, Strawberry Township. The family, including sons James Albert and daughters Frances and Rebecca were found in the U.S. Census for 1880 in Butler County, Missouri. The son, Edward Pinkney is known to have been in Cleburne County, Arkansas in 1890 where his son Jesse Thomas Blackshear was born. Edward Pinkney Blackshear, married first Louisa J. Mitchell in Butler County, Missouri in 1880. One son, Edward, was born of this marriage. Edward Pinkney Blackshear married second, Nettie Catherine Melton in Randolph County, Arkansas in 1884. Three children were born of that marriage; (1) Sam 1884, (2) Jesse 1890 (3) Nora 1895. Nettie Catheerine (Melton) Blackshear died not later than 1895 and Edward Pinkney Blackshear died either 1896 or 1897. All children of Elijah McDonald Blackshear Sr. and Edward Pinkney Blackshear are now dead. A deed of sale for a farm, signed by Elijah McDonald Blackshear Sr. and wife Lucinda Blackshear was found and dated 1880 in Bolinger County, Mo.
