I am just getting started
in this genealogy stuff. But, I have lost the track of my grandfather's
and grandmother's families "somewhere" in Missouri. They (Roscoe Burk and
Hazel Ransbottom (or Hazel Turner ?)) were supposedly married somewhere
in Mo. on Sept. 14, 1913. (family bible info.) Is there any way to find
out where ?? I have no idea as to County or City !! I live in CA and have
no idea where or even how to begin getting Mo. information. Thanks for
your time !! |

I am the grand daughter
of Andrew Dill and Lelia Beryl Light. I do not which county either of my
grandparents were born in, but my grandmother's birthdate was March 16,
1905 so it is likely my grandfather was within a few years slightly older
of her age. They gave birth to seven children Buelah, Gene, Elsie, Rosie,
Dorothy and Dewey (twins) Donald. I am the daughter of Dorothy who died
last year, born in 1936 in Oklahoma. I understand my grandmother's families
were farmers, that her mother died when she was young. We are all red-haired
and fair skinned, except for Rosie and Donald. Andrew may have been an
American Indian but don't know??? I would appreciate any knowledge Rightor1@aol.com |

I am trying to find the maiden name and a more specific birth location
for my 2ggrandmother, Mary Jane (last name unknown), b. 8 Jul 1836 in Missouri.
I have been able to track Mary Jane and her sister Malinda (b. abt 1837)
from Missouri, where they both married men also born in Missouri, to Texas,
where each was widowed and subsequently remarried. Mary Jane married a
man with the last name FURGERSON (prob. in Missouri) and they moved to
Texas where their children, Samantha and William, were born. I found her
in the 1860 census as a widow living in Hopkins County, TX with Malinda
and her husband, John McCORKLE. In August 1865, Mary Jane married Thomas
Fletcher JONES (b. 19 Nov 1825 in TN) in Hopkins County, TX and they had
4 daughters there. By 1870, Malinda was also widowed and is shown in the
census as living with Mary Jane and Thomas. In January 1874, however, she
also remarried, coincidentally, to a man named Thomas J. JONES, b. 1834
in Virginia. Both couples are listed in the 1880 Census for Hopkins County,
TX as living very close to each other. Any information on these two sisters
or their husbands would be very much appreciated-terrylou@swbell.net-Terry

Niermeyer-Anna Marie Louise
Niermeyer Dietz moved to Thayer Missouri about 1900. She died February,
1911. Any idea where she is buried? Her youngest daughter Anna was born
there. Is there a Lutheran church where she may have been baptized in that
area? Thank you. Luci Luci Stoelting--Mon Jul 20 07:05:05 1998 |
