Osage County, Missouri Biographies
William O. and Mary E. (VERDOT) AGEE
To the best of my knowledge today, January 15, 1999, this describes the lives of William Oliver AGEE and Mary Elizabeth VERDOT AGEE.
William Oliver Agee was born March 10, 1816 in TN to parents Matthew Agee and Mary Coates Agee. That family migrated to Osage Co., Missouri, where they were farmers. William Oliver Agee marrried Mary Elizabeth Verdot March 25, 1855 in Osage Co., Missouri. Her parents were Peter and Mary Saraphine Muelot Verdot who had come over from Verdeau, France. William and Mary Agee migrated from Osage Co. to Greeley Co., Kansas; Vernon Co., Missouri; Newton Co., AR.; and finally settled in Dallas Co., Missouri at least by 1880 where they again were farmers. They were residents of RedTop, Missouri where they finished raising their children. William Oliver Agee died August 7, 1881 leaving Mary to continue farming to raise the children. William's first wife Hannah Miranda Thornton had passed away January 3, 1854 in Osage Co., Missouri leaving him a widower with seven children. Mary Elizabeth Agee applied for and received Homestead Land from the government in 1887 where she successfully finished raising all of the children and stayed on the land until she died December 26, 1926. She was a very hardworking woman. Many of her children stayed in the area to raise their families.

Ann Glover daughter of Chesley was born 1st Jan 1800
Magdaline Glover dau of Chesley was born 13th September 1802
Elizabeth Glover daughter of Chesley was born 2nd June 1806
Chesley Glover was married to Mary Geurrant 1785 January 27/29th
State of Missouri, Callaway County 16 day July 1844 Mary Glover a resident of the county appeared aged eighty two years. She is the widow of Chesley Glover and supposes he served in Buckingham County in Virginia. She was married in Buckingham County, Virginia 29th of January 1785. Chesley Glover departed this life on the 17th day of February 1829.

GLOVER.--Robert Glover, of Virginia, married Omon JONES, and they had Jesse and Creed. Jesse was married first to Eliza ANDERSON, and second to Susan WILLIAMS, and settled in Callaway county in 1832. He was a soldier of the war of 1812. Peter and Robert GLOVER settled in Callaway county in 1827. The former was Secretary of State one term. He married Patsey MOSLEY. Robert married Patsey ANDERSON.
