Honora Lyons McCarty (1873-1917) was married to Thomas Raymond McCarty (1862-1903) in 1897. Thomas pre deceased her in 1903. She was left with 3 infant children ranging in age from 1 to 4. The three children were Honora, Mary Rita, and Gertrude. Honora Lyons McCarty died in 1917 of cerebral trauma, according to the death certificate. I have been told by my mother, Mary Rita McCarty, that her father (Thomas ) died as the result of an accident.  Both Honora and Thomas McCarty are interred in St Columba Cmetery, Conception, Mo.

Her death certificate says she died at St Francis Hospital in Maryville of cerebral trauma. Her occupation was Lady Merchant at the 10 Cent Store in Stanberry, Mo. Her father was John Lyons of London, England and her mother was Honora Flanagan of Ireland. She was born March 17, 1874 in Atchison County, Missouri and died May 28, 1917. Informant was P.J. Lyons of Conception, Mo.

Tombstone says: Thomas Raymond McCarty, died Jan 16, 1903 aged 40y 11m 5d. Cemetery Record #804 says he was 41, born at Conception, Mo and died of concusion from fall.

Her tombstone says: Honora S. McCarty wife of T.R., 1873 - 1917. Cemetery Record #1074 says she was 42, born in Atchison County, Missouri and gives no cause of death.
