moved with her parents to Nodaway Co, Mo., where she lived until 1884,
when she was married to H.H. Trumbull and moved with him to Marshalltown,
Ia. In 1889 they came to Clarinda [Iowa], where they have since resided.
To them were born six children,
three girls and three boys, viz: Ida May, Lulu, Etta, Roscoe Deane,
Earl and Jeanette. Mrs Trumbull has been in feeble health the greater
part of the summer, but has been up about the house until about five
or six weeks ago. On Dec 12, at 3:30 pm, she was operated on for tumor
and seemed to come through the ordeal in safety, but on Dec 26, a change
for the worse took place and on Dec 29, at 3 pm, she passed into the
“dreamless sleep” which men call death.
Besides her husband and children
she leaves an aged mother, two brothers and one sister, who reside in
Nodaway county, Mo. Funeral services were held at the old home east
of Maryville, Mo., on January 1, at 2 pm, and burial took place there.
The Modern Woodmen took a
prominent part and rendered appreciative service. In this trouble Mr
Trumbull and his motherless children have the deepest sympathy of the
public.
