Quick, Bruce Delano -
Bruce Delano Quick, 72, was born December 24, 1936 to Henry and Madeline (Duckworth) Quick in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Kay L. Frost. In this union, they were blessed with and cherished by five children and their spouses: Patty and Garry; Lester and Malinda; Chuck and Mandy; Kim and Richard; and Jessica and Jack; four children from a previous marriage; 14 grandchildren; two sisters: Pat and Wayne Henderson, Donna and Jack Main; a brother: Edward and many other relatives and friends.
His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. The happiest moments were when the whole family could be together. The years were full of birthdays, holidays and a slew of “just because” QUICK get togethers.
For many years, Dad drove “over the road” to provide everything we all wanted and needed. He and Mom drove “team” a majority of that time. When he decided to retire, sitting around was too much free time. He was employed and adopted by the Bumper to Bumper Boys. His illness forced him to surrender that position a mere six months ago.
This last week was a great celebration of life. It was a precious gift of time for all to gather and do things as only Dad would think to do it.
Dad passed away at home surrounded by his family.
