[102] Darling, Frank, 70, of Smithville, Mo., passed away, Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005.

Survivors: wife, Beverly; children, Tammy, Lee’s Summit, Mo., Scott, Kearney, Mo., Brian, Kansas City, Mo., and Patrick, Blue Springs, Mo.; and five granddaughters.

Funeral service: 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at the First Christian Church of Smithville. Burial: 1:30 p.m. at Oak Grove, Mo., Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

 

[103] Davison, Neva Dean Thompson Giesken, 77, of Burlington Junction, Missouri, passed away Thursday evening, December 30, 2004, at St. Joseph, Missouri.


She was born July 7, 1927, at Tarkio, Missouri, to Josiah Blair and Effie Hall Thompson. She graduated from the Burlington Junction High School in 1944.


Neva worked as a laborer having first worked at Kokesh Drug Store. Her last employment was for Uniroyal and she retired due to an injury. She has lived most of her life in Nodaway County.


She was married to James Giesken, February 23, 1946, at Burlington Junction, and he preceded her in death in October 1947. Neva married Jerry C. Davison, April 22, 1950, at Burlington Junction and he preceded her in death.
Preceding Neva in death were her parents; husbands; son, Jimmy in September, 2004; two brothers, Marvin and Theodore Thompson; and a great granddaughter, Bailey Giesken.


She is survived by two sons: Jerry Dean Davison and his wife, Sue of Rosemond, California and Jerol "Pesky" Davison, Maryville, Missouri; two daughters: Janet Sue Lekey and her husband Dale, Burlington Junction, Missouri and Jeanette Denniston and her husband Dan of Toledo, Washington; two brothers: Dula Thompson of Lewis, Iowa and Joe Ben Thompson of Reseda, California; two sisters: Eva Eskridge of Maryville, Missouri and Norma McIntyre of Indianola, Iowa; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.


Funeral services were held Monday, January 3, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at the Barr-Merrick Funeral Chapel, Burlington Junction, Missouri. Visitation was held 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday evening. Burial was at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Parnell, Missouri. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Barr-Merrick Funeral Chapel, Burlington Junction, Missouri.

POLO, Mo. — Lester R. Day, 77, Polo, died Feb. 16, 2005.

Mr. Day was a truck driver for 45 years.

Surviving: wife, Margaret; sons, Randy, Harold, Richard; daughters, Sandra Baskin, Judy Knight; brothers, Max, Neal, Donald; sisters, Dorothy Cassity, Helen Loy; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, First Baptist Church, Polo. Burial: Prairie Ridge Cemetery, Polo. Visitation: 6 to 8 tonight, Bailey & Cox Family Funeral Service, Polo.

Jesse Lawrence Davison, 20, Burlington Jct., died Sunday, April 27, 2008. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 1, at the West Nodaway R-I School, Burlington Jct.
