Mrs E.T. Bailey Dies After Paralytic Stroke - Maryville Daily Forum, Maryville, Missouri Apr 22, 1940

Mrs Clara Ann Bailey, wife of the late Judge E.T. Bailey, who served as judge of the Nodaway county court for sixteen years, died at 10 o'clock Saturday night at her home, 311 West Halasey street.

Mrs Bailey's death came unexpectedly, as she had been up town Saturday afternoon. About 6 o'clock she suffered a paralytic stroke and was found unconscious a short while later by Mrs Paul Ward and Mrs Katherine Bennett, neighbors. Mrs Bailey suffered another stroke at 9 o'clock. She never regained consciousness after the first attack.

Mrs Bailey, the former Clara Ann Bain, was born December 19, 1870, in Fremont County, Ia. She and Mrs Bailey were married at Maryville March 15, 1893. His death occurred April 2, 1936.

Mrs Bailey was active in the work of the First Methodist church.

She is survived by two sons, Glenn M. Bailey of Princeton, Mo., and Donald R. Bailey of Grinnell, Ia; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Charles Turpin, Burlington Junction, and two brothers, Hardee Bain, Billings, Mont, and Elvery Bain, Lees Summit, Mo.

The son, Donald, and his family arrived yesterday morning, having planned beforehand to come to visit his mother yesterday and today.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Price funeral home with Dr W.H. Hackman, pastor of the Methodist church, in charge. Burial will be in LaMar cemetery near Elmo.

Bainum, Clorine Ellouise “Cody” Mitchell, 86, died Thursday, August 28, 2008, in Grant City.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 31, at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home, Grant City, with Rev. Delbert officiating. Interment was in the Sheridan Cemetery, Sheridan.

Baker, J.R. - JR Baker, 78, Bolckow, died Saturday, June 6, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital and Health Services, Maryville.
Services were held Tuesday, June 9, at the Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville. Final resting place was in Weathermon Cemetery, Guilford.

Baker, Otis Ray - Otis Ray Baker, 83, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at the Ringgold County Hospital.

Bare, William Delmar - (William) Delmar Bare, 77, Barnard, died Friday, Dec 15 [1989] at St Francis Hospital in Maryville [Missouri].

Born Oct 2, 1912 in Bolckow to William Bare and Mary Dreher Bare, Mr Bare was a retired farmer. He was a member of Church of Christ in Barnard. He married Arlene Hammond on Dec 22, 1934 in Savannah.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Bare, Barnard; a son, Larry Bare, Primghar, Iowa; a daughter, Linda Bond, Olathe, Kan; a sister, Bessie Cotter, Savannah; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 am Monday at Price Funeral Chapel in Maryville with the Rev Harry Cook officiating.

Burial will be in Barnard Masonic Cemetery in Barnard under the direction of Price Funeral Home, Inc of Maryville.

Visitation is currently underway at the funeral home.

Beason, Paula J., 44, Marshfield, formerly of Hopkins and Pleasant Hill, died Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at her home.
Cremation has been accorded. Memorial services were held January 8 at the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. A celebration of life was held January 9 at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.

Anna Shearer Bebout
Anna Shearer, the only daughter of Henry and Charlotte Shearer, was born October 1, 1862 in Page county, Iowa, and died on August 26, 1939 at the home of her son Harold Bebout of Norwalk, Calif., aged 75 years, 10 months and 25 days.
On November 1, 1888 she was united in marriage to George Bebout and to them seven children were born, Lola, Nellie, Roy, Georgia, Charlotte, Clarence and Harold.
Mrs. Bebout was preceded in death by her parents and son Clarence, who met death accidentally in 1917.
She is survived by her four daughters, Lola Besco of Bedford who helped care for her mother the last three months of her illness; Nellie Mann of Camerville, Calif.; Charlotte Miller of Hopkins; and Georgia Waldruff of Clearmont, Mo.; and two sons, Roy Bebout of Hopkins and Harold Bebout of Norwalk, Calif. Also one brother, J. D. Shearer of Hopkins, a half-brother, J. R.Waldruff of Braddyville, a half sister, Cora Ridnour of Seneca, Nebr., eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Mrs. Bebout became a member of the Christian church at Braddyville and later transferred her membership to the Christian church of Hopkins. Most of her life was spent in and about the communities of Braddyville and Hopkins.
Six years ago she went to Norwalk, Calif., to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Mann and her son Harold.
Mrs. Bebout's funeral was held at the Shearer church in Clarinda, Rev. C. Max Buck of Bedford in charge. Burial was in the Shearer cemetery.

Beeman, Elmer - Elmer Beeman, 59, Council Bluffs, Iowa, brother of Delbert Beeman, Maryville, and a former resident, died Wednesday at his home at Clyde, Texas, where arrangements are pending.

He was a former manager of the Maryville Safeway Store.

Also surviving are his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Kathleen; Jeanene, Abilene, Texas; five sons, David, Las Vegas, Nev; Eddie, Abilene, Paul, Clyde; and Steve and James, of the home.
