Clark, Calvin Clyde - Calvin Clark, age 79, of Burlington Junction, Missouri entered into peace Friday, December 25, 2020, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Christian Church in Burlington Junction, Missouri. Visitation will be open at the Ritchie Funeral Home in Clarinda on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 PM and also on Wednesday, one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Christian Church or Calvin Clark Memorial. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on our website at, www.ritchiefuneralhome.com under Obituaries. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie Funeral Home of Clarinda, Iowa, where we ‘Celebrate Life’.
Calvin Clyde Clark was born October 14, 1941, in Burlington Junction, Missouri the son of John C. Clark and Grace M. (Shadduck) Clark. He grew up attending school, graduating with the Class of 1959 from the Burlington Junction High School. After high school he was a mechanic at a couple car dealerships. On November 30, 1959, he was united in marriage to Nadine Race in Auburn, Nebraska. To this loving union two children were born, Richard and Marcia. The couple made their home in Burlington Junction, Missouri.
Calvin worked for Woodruff-Arnold in Maryville, Missouri, later venturing out on his own to open Clark Plumbing and Heating in Burlington Junction. They had built their own home and Nadine had a beauty shop in their basement. They were both members of the Christian Church in Burlington Junction, and Calvin was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Burlington Junction, later transferring to the Masonic Lodge No. 470 in Maryville. Calvin earned his private pilot license and thoroughly enjoyed flying whenever possible. He enjoyed fishing, often making the trek to Canada to fish with his friends. And Calvin loved the outdoors especially gardening and his fruit trees; it was a good excuse to get on his tractor. He was also an excellent carpenter who enjoyed woodworking. Calvin and Nadine also enjoyed league bowling for many years. They enjoyed traveling throughout the years. One of their favorite trips was to Italy. Calvin was a member of the IAMO Telecommunications Board for many years.
Left to cherish Calvin’s memory are his loving wife of 61 years, Nadine Clark of Burlington Junction, Missouri; a son, Richard Clark of Kansas City, Missouri; a daughter, Marcia Clark (Les Henson) of St. Paul, Texas; three grandchildren, Dereck Dew, Bridget Clark (Randy Ertl) and Kaitlyn Allen (Jakob); three great-grandchildren, Jace, Noah and Lilah Jo and one on the way! A daughter-in-law, Brynda Howell (Robbie) of Oregon, Missouri; two sisters, Margie Roberts and husband Jim of Burlington Junction, Missouri; Alice Faye Lewis and husband Gary of Savannah, Missouri; along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Preceding Calvin in death are his parents, John and Grace Clark; a brother, Wayne Clark; and a cousin, Sandra White

Huls, Alex M.
Alex M. Huls, who would have been ninety-six years old had he lived until the 30th of next June, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Lizzie Cochrane, west of Hopkins, last Monday about noon.
Grandpa Huls was one of the old pioneers of this county, coming here in 1856 and did much in the upbuilding of this community.
Mr Huls was a Kentuckian by birth, having been born in that state in 1814.
By hard perseverance, he educated himself and by hard work became possessed of a goodly portion of this world's goods, being the owner of some of the best land in this country.

Jobst, Robert Raymond -
Robert Raymond Jobst, 87, of Pickering, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at his home in Pickering surrounded by his family.
Robert was born on June 5, 1933, in Parnell, MO, and lived in the Parnell and Pickering, MO areas all his life. His parents were Raymond and Nellie (Hawk) Jobst.
He graduated from Parnell High School, class of 1951. Robert joined the US Army and proudly served his country in the Korea War from 1953-55.
He was a journey man union carpenter and bridge builder. He worked for Loch Sand & Construction in Maryville, for 18 years.
He was a member and attended the Pickering United Methodist Church. A charter member of the Pickering Lions Club; he helped many years with the annual horse show and pancake breakfast. He was a Lions Melvin Jones recipient. He liked to Coon hunt and raised hunting dogs. He was a Scout leader with the BSA Troop 64; and was a member of Mic-O-Say. He was an avid sports fan and had coached and umpired little league; and had helped organize the men’s slow pitch league. He was the Trustee with the Union Township Board.
His parents preceded him in death, as well as his brother, Bud Jobst, and sister, Evelyn Hunt.
On February 16, 1958, at the Blythedale, Missouri Christian Church, Robert was united in marriage to Donella Moore. She survives of the home in Pickering.
His other survivors include his children: Roberta (Steve) Turner, Hopkins, MO, Rebecca Jobst, Kansas City, MO, and Robert (Debbie) Jobst, Maryville, MO; 3 grandchildren: Tyler (Ashley) Turner, Megan (Adam) Auffert, and Mallory Jobst; 4 great grandchildren: Laney Turner, Landon Turner, Cayden Auffert, and Kinley Auffert; his brother, Richard Jobst, and his sister, Ramona Brodrick; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will follow in the Nodaway Memorial Gardens, also of Maryville

Palmer, Catherine Sue Miller - Catherine Sue (nee Miller) Palmer, of Maryville, Missouri
passed away December 10, 2020. Catherine was born March 4, 1959
in Maryville, Missouri to Dale and Barbara Miller.
She graduated from Northwest Missouri State University, with a bachelor's degree in library science and a Master's degree in History with Preservation.
Catherine was an archivist at Northwest Missouri State University and most recently a collections coordinator with the Nodaway County Historical Society Museum in Maryville, Missouri. She was passionate about reading, genealogy, historical buildings, and Nodaway County History. She was a member of the Laura Street Baptist Church where she volunteered at the church library. She was also a member of the Maryville Pride Lions and wrote the “this week in history” for the Nodaway News Leader.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sarah (David) Campbell.
Catherine is survived by a son, Adam Palmer, her two sisters Nancy (Charles Petersen) Miller,
Michele Sharp, and brother Robert (Teresa) Miller. She was friendly to all, loved by many and was always lending a helpful hand. She will be greatly missed.
The family is planning a private ceremony, but a Celebration of Life will be held on a later date in Maryville. Arrangements provided by Price Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared on their website www.pricefuneralhomemaryville.com.

Piearson, Mary Lou Ulmer Sharr - Mary Lou Piearson, 85, of Adel, Iowa formerly of Maryville, Missouri passed away Friday, October 2, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on June 22, 1935 in Hopkins, Missouri to Lyle and Margaret (Allison) Ulmer. She was a 1953 graduate of Hopkins High School and worked as an inspector for the Margaret Davison Housing for twenty years and was a member of Laura Street Baptist Church and the Nodaway County Historical Society. Mary Lou had a true passion for genealogy, flowers, traveling and loved being with her family and friends.
She married Virgil Sharr in 1952 and later married Noble Piearson, who preceded her in death in June 1993. She was also preceded by her parents and an infant daughter, Phyllis Lee Sharr.
She is survived by her three children James Edwin (Nancy) Sharr, Adel, Iowa, John (Naomi) Sharr, Clarinda, Iowa, Katherine Sharr, Des Moines, Iowa, stepchildren, Jay Piearson, Dean Piearson, Melanie Piearson, brother, Phillip (Marge) Ulmer, Las Vegas, Nevada, two sisters, Kathi (Sam) Florea and Judith Ulmer both of Jefferson, Iowa; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Price Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Maryville. Pope, Martha J. Madden Durbin - Martha J. Pope, 85, of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at her home.
Martha was born on September 13, 1935 in Maryville, Missouri to Alphonsus and Eunice (Miller) Madden. She was a 1952 graduate of the Ravenwood High School and a 1956 graduate of the DePaul School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and worked for 24 years with the Drs. Byland and Wempe. She also was a school nurse at Eugene Field for seven years. Martha was a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church and the Guild.
She married Orville Durbin on December 1, 1956 in Maryville. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1982. She later married Robert E. Pope on July 27, 1985. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2015. She was also preceded by her parents, three sisters, Patricia Wilmes, Edna Schafer, Mary Coleman and three brothers, Jim, Gerald and Donald Madden.
She is survived by her children, Theresa (Cleo) Welch, Rita (Steve) Miller, Julia (Roger) Schmitz, Kevin Durbin, Kenneth (Stephanie) Durbin, Kelly Durbin, Debra (Mark) Wanserski, Charles (Cyndi) Pope, William (Amy) Pope, Donna (Paul) Barger and Denise (Steve) Aldrich; 25 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Madden and three sisters, Barbara O’Connell, Carole Duke and Ellen Bolger.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Tuesday, December 29th at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church in Maryville under the care of Price Funeral Home. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery, Parnell, Missouri. Riley, Randy Earl - Randy E. Riley, 62, of Albany, Missouri formerly of Maryville passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at the TLC Care Center.
Randy was born on September 8, 1958 in Maryville, Missouri to Merrill D. and Retha M. (Johnson) Riley. He worked for NOCOMO Industries and was a member of Laura Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Drexel Riley.
Survivors include three brothers, Russell Riley, Richard Riley and Ronnie Riley; two sisters, Arlene Buholt and Shirley Oglesby and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rohlmeier, Dean William -
Dean William Rohlmeier, 84, of Burlington Junction, Mo passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2020.
Dean was born September 10, 1936, in Pawnee City, NE. His parents were William and Vera (Britt) Rohlmeier. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by brothers Don and Dennis Rohlmeier and sisters Marsha Crawford and Judy Windholz.
He was of the Christian faith.
He was a graduate of DuBois, NE Schools.
On April 12, 1958 in Seneca, KS he was married to Alma Lucille Henninger. They were married 62 years. She survives of the home.
He was a farmer and was a manager of Sur/Gro fertilizer and chemical company of Burlington Junction.
Other survivors include two sons: Lee (Sandi) Rohlmeier and Duane (Kristi) Rohlmeier both of Burlington Junction; four grandchildren Matt Rohlmeier, Skyeler Rohlmeier, Lindsey (Gary) Brown, and Tiffany (Josh) Hughes; eight great grandchildren Bracxten, Brayden, Joe, Logan, and Brooklynn Rohlmeier, Taten Thompson, and Noah and Liam Hughes. He is also survived by one brother David (Gale) Rohlmerier.
Graveside service for Dean Rohlmeier will be conducted Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Ohio Cemetery in Burlington Junction, MO. The funeral time will be 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed in Dean’s name to the United Methodist Church of Burlington Junction.

Rother, Emily Jennie Martinez -
Emily Jennie Rother, 87, of Maitland, MO, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at the Mosaic Medical Center, Maryville, MO.
Emily was born on June 17, 1933, in Walsenburg, CO, to George and Beatrice Vascus Martinez. She had lived in Colorado Springs until uniting in marriage to Irvin Rother on February 21, 1954, and they moved to Maitland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Emily was raised in the Catholic faith; and she loved her Lord and Savior. She loved gardening and flowers, especially Euten roses. Emily was recognized for her roses, which became the official flower of the Town of Maitland.
Her survivors include her husband, Irvin, of the home; her son: Robert (Sabina) Rother, Maitland; and her daughter: Kathline Kay (Henry) Patterson, Lakewood, WA; and her sister: Chris Sanmagill, San Francisco, CA.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at the Bram Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Maitland Cemetery, Maitland, MO.

Rupp, Gregory Allen - On October 4, 2020, Gregory Allen Rupp loving husband, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin passed away at the age of 73 at Starling at Nocatee in Ponte Vedra, FL. Greg had lived at this facility in Memory Care for 2.5 years.
Greg was born on January 13, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA to Donald and Esther (Hunter) Rupp. His family moved to Kansas City, MO when Greg was young. He served 4 years in the Coast Guard with 1.5 of these years in Viet Nam. Greg received his Bachelors Degree in Mathematics/Accounting from University of Missouri, Kansas City and then continued on to work on his masters degree in Accounting. He worked in various accounting related positions until his retirement in 2005. In 1977, he moved to Maryville, MO to be an Employment Tax Auditor for the state of Missouri. Maryville is where he met his future bride Marjorie (Marge) Ackley Combs. They were married on December 6, 1981.
Over the years, Greg and Marge lived in various states and retired in the St. Augustine, FL area.
Greg was a big Penn State football and KU basketball fan and avidly watched the games to cheer his teams to victory. He loved the game of golf and started playing as a child. After moving to the St. Augustine area, he became a charter member of the South Hampton Golf Club and led the Saturday Seniors Group for numerous years. He was fondly known as the “Commissioner”. His quick wit and dry sense of humor accompanied by a funny little smile will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Greg was preceded in death by his Father and Mother and brother Robert H Rupp. He is survived by wife Marge of Ponte Vedra, FL, his sister Judith A Cook of Windemere, FL, his brother’s children and grandchildren - Dawn (Dave) Kub - Abby and Emerson of Windemere, FL, Justin Rupp of Kansas City, MO, his sisters in law and brother in law - Janice McGinnis of Maryville, MO, Karen and Jerry Holt of Sidney, IA and Cheryl Asbury of Kansas City, MO and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Sadler, Carolyn F. Winell -
Carolyn F. Sadler, 79, of Maryville, MO, passed from this life on Sunday, September 27, 2020, at the Village Care Center, Maryville.
Carolyn was born in Maryville, on April 29, 1941, to parents, Carl and Charlene (Monticue) Winell. She was raised on a farm north of Maryville, and was a lifelong resident of this area.
She sold Avon for over 30 years, and later worked in retail jewelry, and at Houghton's Drug in Maryville. She enjoyed helping people, had a quick smile and loved to laugh. She was the best Mom and Grandma.
She was a Methodist and had attended the Wilcox Methodist Church for many years.
Her survivors include her husband, Larry Sadler, of the home, her children, Jeff Staples, and Jennifer (Jared) Hall; step-son, Shannon (Carla) Sadler, and step-daughter, Lynette Sadler; grandchildren, Amber (Chris) Latta, Alicia (Dylan) Hurst, Danan (Erin) Hall, Mason, Ethan, and Audrey Sadler; great grandchildren, Clara, Eleanor, Hayden Latta and Waylon Hall, Brooke and Logan Cordell; and 1 step great grandchild; her brother, Roger Winell, Heidelberg, Germany.
Graveside services and burial will be at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at the Wilcox Cemetery, Wilcox, MO. No formal visitation is planned, but friends can stop by and sign the book till 5 PM on Tuesday, and prior to the service on Wednesday.

Schultz, Lettie Lou Joyner Scott - Lettie Lou Schultz, 87, of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Parkdale Manor.
Lettie was born on June 17, 1933 in Maryville, Missouri to Ben and Dora Joyner. She was graduate of the Ravenwood High School and a bookkeeper for Bagby Motors. She was also a member of the Countryside Christian Church.
She married Frank Scott on August 4, 1951 in Ravenwood, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1982. She later married Donald Schultz on June 10, 1984 in Maryville. he preceded her in death on October 2, 2010. She was also preceded by her parents and her brother, Harold Joyner and sister and brother-in-law, Dottie (Dayle) Shipps.
Survivors include her children, Karen (Kirk) Nicholson, Ravenwood, Missouri and Roger (Barb) Scott, Albuquerque, New Mexico; two step-daughters, Jane (Donnis) Allen and Cheryl (Steve) Townsend all of Maryville; sister, Shirley (Jay) Schmidt, Maryville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Christopher Nicholson and Ben and Sarah Scott; five step-grandchildren, Ryan Schultz, Elizabeth Townsend, Rebecca Stone, Rachel Townsend and Emily Groumoutis.
Mrs. Schultz has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home. There will be no visitation held. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Nodaway County Senior Center.

Scott, Janet Evelyn Tims Weir - Janet Evelyn (nee Tims) Weir Scott, 90, passed away November 21, 2020 at Riverstone Retirement Community in Kansas City. Janet was born December 18, 1929 in Los Angeles, California. She was the daughter of William Robert and Edytha Valette (Weir) Tims. Janet, at the age of three, was adopted after the death of her parents by her maternal grandparents George Edward and Helen Valette (Brink) Weir, was raised in Pueblo, Colorado.
She graduated from Centennial High School in Pueblo in 1947 and obtained an AA degree from Pueblo Junior College.
On August 31, 1951 she married Billy Dave (B.D.) Scott, whom she met on a blind date, in Lubbock, Texas. They were married for 60 years before B.D.’s passing May of 2012. The couple lived in various cities, traveling with B.D.’s schooling and the Army before landing permanently in Maryville in 1960. Janet was a member of Chapter KP, P.E.O., a former Registrar for the Nodaway Chapter of the DAR and a charter member of the Nodaway County Genealogy Society.
She made lifelong friendships through many of these organizations, often hosting bridge nights and maintaining an active social life. She was passionate about traveling, genealogy, trying new recipes, and for several years made many the clothes Karen and Camellia wore. Janet and B.D. spent many happy years traveling to research family history, self-publishing six family history books. Janet was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survived by her three children: David (Susan) Scott, Kansas City, Karen (Brock) Pfost, Maryville, Camellia (Robert) Barmann, Platte City; eight grandchildren: Gretchen (Reed) Phillips, Emily (Alex Garnett) Scott, Elizabeth and Jessica Pfost, Eric (Katie) Barmann, Jason (Katie) Barmann, Matthew and Janessa Barmann; two great grandchildren: Henry Phillips and Bennett Barmann. She is also survived by her brother Frank Edward Weir of San Jacinto, California. Memorials may be made to the B.D. and Janet Scott Biology Scholarship c/o Northwest Foundation or the Wolfner Talking Book and Braille Library, 600 West Main Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Slaten, Sheryl Lynn Wheeler - Sheryl Slaten, 70, of Clearmont, Missouri entered into peace Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at her residence in rural Clearmont, Missouri after a nine month battle with mesothelioma. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Baptist Church, Clearmont, Missouri with Brother John Clayton officiating. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie Funeral Home of Clarinda, Iowa.
Sheryl Lynn Slaten was born January 26, 1950 in Elmo, Missouri to Norval and Helen (Harness) Wheeler. She graduated from West Nodaway R-1 in 1968 and continued her education through coursework at Northwest Technical School. She was a four-year varsity basketball athlete in high school and was selected to play on the 1968 AAU Junior Olympic basketball team representing Northwest Missouri. The team won the Midwest Regional tournament in Kansas City.
Sheryl married Rich Slaten on November 10, 1968 in Elmo. They moved to Vacaville, California while Rich was in the Air Force. After her husband was discharged from the military, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Rich and Sheryl decided to return home and open their own television sales and repair business in 1975 and have lived outside Clearmont ever since where they have been involved in community and family activities. This 52-year union was blessed with three children: Greg, Lani, and Jamie.
Sheryl retired from Energizer after 30 years and then went on to work for Baker Chiropractic and Rehab the past 8 years as a bookkeeper. Sheryl was active in the Clearmont Community Club as her children were growing up and helped coach several baseball and softball teams over the years. After her kids were grown, Sheryl’s passion turned to watching and videoing her grandchildren’s activities; traveling to see them whenever possible.
Sheryl attended the Clearmont Baptist Church since 1975 and recently was baptized in faith at the Nodaway River by Shambaugh, Iowa on September 27, 2020.
Preceding Sheryl in death were her parents, one infant brother James, father-in-law Richard Slaten and brother-in-law Tom Williams.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Rich of the home, son Greg (Chikako) Slaten of Sellersberg, Indiana, daughter Lani (John) Clayton of Burlington Junction, Missouri, daughter Jamie (Willie) Mims of Tyler, Texas, seven grandchildren: Jocelyn, Stephen, Deanna, Rachel, McKinley, Cameron, and Kacey, mother-in-law Lorna Slaten, five siblings: Gerald (Jaquita) Wheeler, Dennis (Cheryl) Wheeler, Karla Williams, Don (Brenda) Wheeler, and Kevin (Debbie) Wheeler, sister-in-law Renee (Don) Sandusky, brother-in-law Roger (Penny) Slaten, and numerous nieces and nephews

Stark, Toni Jean O'Connell -
Toni Jean Stark, 64, of Maryville, MO, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020, at the CLC Hospice Unit at the VA Medical Center, Leavenworth, KS.
Toni was born on October 10, 1956, in Nuremberg, Germany, to Arthur John Vincent O’Connell II, and Lillian Joyce Stuart.
Toni lived in Germany before moving to Georgia, there she graduated from the Spencer High School, Columbus, GA. Then for a time in Arizona, before completing her basic training with the US Army in Alabama.
She was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK; and later attended Columba College, and Arizona State University.
During her 12 years serving her country in the Army, she was stationed in Washington State, Oklahoma, and was honorably discharged as a Captain at her last post in Washington, DC.
She later worked as a safety inspector for an insurance company, and for Walmart.
Toni was of the Christian faith; was an honorary member of the 40 and 8 veteran’s organization, and the James Edward Gray American Legion Post 100, Maryville, MO.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

Staten, Gary Eldon -
Gary Eldon Staten, 70, of Ravenwood, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020, at his home in Ravenwood.
Gary was born in Maryville, Missouri, on March 31, 1950, to Irene (Treese) and Eldon Staten. He joined a sister, Donna Jean and nine years later a sister, Cindy Leah. Their family moved from Hopkins to Ravenwood in 1955.
He graduated from Northeast Nodaway High School, Class of 1968. During high school he met and fell in love with Cynthia (Cindy) Deanne Coffelt. After attending Northwest Missouri State University for two and one-half years, they married on January 26, 1969, during an eight-inch snowstorm.
Gary farmed and drove a gravel truck for most of his life. He could fix anything and was a life-long student. There wasn’t a tool or gadget that he hadn’t researched or used. In 2010 they retired from the farm and moved into Ravenwood.
They enjoyed camping, traveling, and visiting their children and grandchildren. Gary was a member of the West Union Primitive Baptist Church of Maryville and had served his community and county on many boards and committees. He and Cindy were approaching their 52nd wedding anniversary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Wesley Coffelt; brother-in-law, Rolland Walker; and sister-in-law, Linda Dougan.
He is survived by his wife; son, Mark (Lori) Staten of Tarkio; daughter, Mende (Tim) Kemper of Hawk Point, MO; and five grandchildren: Gentri, Bryli, and Quin Staten and Ava and Addison Kemper; sister, Donna Walker; sister, Cindy Leah (Jim) Welch; sister-in-law, Vickie (John) Brown; brother-in-law, Keith Dougan; sister-in-law, Virginia (Bill) Bateman; mother-in-law, Mary Coffelt; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Gary has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home. His memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

Charles Robert “Bob” Stoll, 80, of Maryville, MO passed away December 2, 2020, at his home surrounded by family.
Bob was born October 13, 1940 in Maryville, Mo. His parents were Charles and Helen (Brady) Stoll they preceded him in death. He was also preceded by an infant grandson, Nicholas Stoll.
He grew up in Conception Junction, and on December 22, 1962, Bob and Evelyn Blackford were married at the Holy Family Parish rectory in Conception Junction, MO, and they moved to Maryville.
Bob was a bricklayer, and a member of the BAC Local 15. He retired in 2005, and Bob and Evelyn had spent many winters in Arizona.
His survivors include his wife Evelyn, of the home; 3 sons: Rick (Kathy) Stoll, Independence, MO, John Stoll, Maryville, and Matthew Stoll, Maryville; his grandson: Christopher (Rebecca) Stoll, Glenwood, IA, his granddaughter: Amanda Stoll, Independence; 3 sisters: Mary Ann (Manuel) Delatorre, Prospect Heights, IL, Kathleen (Joe) Stiens, and Carolyn (Bob) Westfall, both of Maryville; 2 brothers: Joe (Patty) Stoll, Clyde, MO, and Jim (Betsy) Stoll, Bates City, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob didn’t know a stranger.
He has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. Friends may stop by the funeral home to sign his register.

Stoll, Sherry Louise Hulett -
She was born on April 28, 1965, the daughter of Gary E. and Norma F. (Hawk) Hulett. Sherry graduated from Rock Port High School in 1983. She then graduated from Southeast Community College in 1985 with a Business Management degree in the top 10 of her class.
Sherry was a published author. She wrote a book titled “I’m Blessed.” She enjoyed all kinds of writing, but was most talented and known for her poems.
Her hobbies included loom knitting, crocheting, writing and an avid essential oil user. She loved when kittens were born at the farm and enjoyed when Daryl would bring them in the house for her to love and name.
Sherry enjoyed riding country roads with her husband Daryl and the dogs, enjoying the fields on the farm, and looking for wildlife.
Sherry battled diabetes for 13 years. The last five years were the most difficult.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Gary Hulett; brother, William "Billy" Hulett; and nieces, Allison Schwindt and Kristine Ginther.
Survivors include her husband, Daryl J. Stoll of their Maryville home; her mother, Norma Hulett of Rock Port; sister, Darlene (Warren) Schwindt of Auburn, Nebraska; and nephew, Garrett (Rachel) Schwindt.

Dorla Dean Taylor, 86, of Maryville, MO, was called to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, MO.
Dorla was born on September 16, 1934, in St. Joseph, MO. She was a lifelong resident of the area; and had lived in Pickering, MO, before Maryville.
Her parents were Rev. Earl Adam Vansickle, and Elfie Ellen (Purvis) Vansickle, and preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her first husband, Robert Reno, in 1996, her second husband, Robert Lee Taylor, in 1988; her children: daughter, Fawnla Jen Reno, and Tanya Lynn Hendrix; her granddaughter, Teila Auffert, and her sister, Desta Caswell.
Dorla married Robert Lee Reno in October of 1952 in Platte City, MO, and they had 9 children together; then she married Robert Lee Taylor in May of 1986.
She had worked for Head Start, at Community Services, and had later worked for 2 years at Bethesda Group Home. She had raised Poodles for several years. She enjoyed gardening in her yard, and to sew.
Dorla was a member and attended the Church of the Nazarene, Maryville, and sang in the church choir.
Her survivors, 2 sons: Dean Reno, St. Joseph, MO, and Reggie Reno, Maryville, MO; her daughters: Victoria (Shannon) Walter, Ravenwood, MO, Donetta (Dalles) Beery, Country Club, MO, Kamala (Larry) John, Conception Junction, MO, Tyanna (Kevin) Meek, Grant City, MO, and LaShawna (Mike) Henggeler, Guilford, MO; her sister: Earlene Harris, St. Joseph, MO; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Thompson, Baylor Gray - Baylor Gray Thompson 5 month old daughter of Brooklyn and Adam Thompson of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Baylor was born on June 11, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Tompkins, Stephen R. "Randy" -
Stephen R. “Randy” Tompkins, 61, of Maryville, MO, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO, after a brief illness.
Randy was born in Maryville, on December 23, 1958, to Steve and Bonnie (Scott) Tompkins. He graduated from Maryville High School in 1977, and was a lifelong resident of the area.
He was a forklift driver at Kawasaki Motors, Maryvllle, and had formerly worked at Nebs/Deluxe in Maryville. He also was on the maintenance team at Mosaic Medical Center - Maryville.
Randy liked to hunt, especially bow hunting and enjoyed the time he spent in his tree stands. When he wasn't hunting deer or turkey, he could be found in the spring walking timbers and "trails" looking for deer antlers. He enjoyed football, baseball and basketball, and will strongly defend the Cowboys, Yankees and the DUKE BLUE DEVILS. He was a fierce Fantasy Football competitor, and his team was known as "Randy's Reapers". He has many nicknames, but among them he is known as "Ziggy", "Bushy", "Uncle Rando", and "Papa". He attended St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, Maryville.
On January 24, 1993, he was united in marriage to Rebecca Jayne "Becki" Julson in Hopkins, MO. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his parents, Steve and Bonnie Tompkins, Maryville; his granddaughter, Kirsten Bull, of the home; step-children: Justin (Celeste) Jackson, Spring Hill, FL and Jessi Bull, St Joseph,MO; grandchildren: Kianna, Aaliyah, Xavier, and D' Andre; his siblings: Doug Tompkins, Maryville, Shelly (Gary “Slug”) Wilson, Barnard, MO, and Lonnie (Donna) Tompkins, Maryville; his aunt Shirley Allen of Maryville, MO and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Randy has been cremated under the direction of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville. Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at the Miriam Cemetery, Maryville, MO. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, on Saturday prior to the service, on the grounds of the Bram Funeral Home.

Townsend, Darlene Marie Strauch - Darlene Marie Townsend, 93 of Lees Summit Missouri, passed away December 5, 2020, at Ignite Medical Resort after a brief illness. She was born in Parnell, Missouri to William and Blanch Strauch. She grew up in Maryville, Missouri and was married to Edward Bohm Townsend Sr. for 49 years.
She lived life to the fullest. In her younger years she enjoyed golf, playing cards, and entertaining. As she grew older, she enjoyed sitting in the sun, cooking for friends, and most of all spending time with her family. She had a special place in her heart for her loved ones who affectionately referred to her as “Nani”. She was always ready to teach new things, just play a game of cards, hand out advice, or just lend a listening ear. Her kindness knew no bounds she could and always did start up a conversation with anyone she came across. She always left people better than she found them.
Darlene is survived by her son Edward Bohm Townsend Jr. and daughter Yvonne Townsend Fish. Grand-Daughters Heather Townsend-Macan, Ashley Pattavina, Andréa Kuenzi, Amber Riesterer, and Shannon Fish and Many Great -Great Grandchildren that were a big part of her life. She will be greatly missed.
Darlene is preceded in death by her husband Edward Bohm Townsend Sr., Daughter D’Anne Townsend, Sister Betty Lou Strauch, and Parents William and Blanch Strauch.
A celebration of life will be held in her honor in the summer of 2021 with more details forthcoming. A private entombment will be held at Ashland Mausoleum in St. Joseph under the care of Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Veach, Ricky Joe - Ricky Joe Veach, 67, of Graham, Missouri passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at his home.
Ricky was born on January 28, 1953 in Rock Port, Missouri to Jessie D. and Betty L. (Hollaway) Veach. He worked for Kelly Trash Service in Tarkio for many years and was very proud of his day route. He enjoyed collecting junk to work on in his spear time.
He married Grace Selene Veace on July 13, 1974. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his parents, brother, Gene Makings and his beloved dog, “Cooter”.
Survivors include three sisters, Marilyn (Orvile) Hayes, Barb Nielson (Connie), Bonny Jasper; two sisters-in-law, Terry Messick and Vicki (Keith) Cook and several nieces and nephews.

Norma Jean Vore, 67, of Maryville, MO, and formerly of Hopkins, MO, passed from this life on Friday, November 6, 2020, at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, MO.
Norma was born in Placerville, CA, on April 26, 1953. She had lived in California and Montana; and had lived in this area since 1966. Her parents were Lloyd Darrel Huntsman and Madylene Joyce (Hawhee) Huntsman, and they preceded her in death.
She graduated from Bedford Iowa High School. She was in production at Energizer Battery for 35 years in Maryville; and retired when the plant shut down.
Norma was an avid reader, she also loved to travel and to spend as much time with family as she could, especially her grandchildren. She was a Christian.
On January 20, 1973, In New Market, IA, Norma was united in marriage to Clarence Eugene Vore, and he survives of the home.
Other survivors include her children: Matthew (Amanda) Vore, Maryville, Denise (Steven) Bloomquist, Maryville, and Jesse (David) Adwell, Lathrop, MO; 2 brothers: James (Beverly) Wilson, and Lloyd (Glenda) Huntsman; 6 sisters: Mary (Ken) McLaughlin, Glenda (Doug) Huntsman-Kappler, Kathy (Norm) Burwell, Elaine (James) Huntsman-Schlichtmann, Karen Dankof, and Dawn Riley; 11 grandchildren: Brenden, Braiden, and Baylie Bloomquist, Evan, Ethan, Madylene, and Calvin Vore, Hunter, Lexi, Mason and Daniel Adwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10:00 AM, on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at the Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, MO.

Walker, Dorothy Jane "Janie" Davidson - Dorothy Jane “Janie” (Davidson) Walker passed December 4, 2020; 4 days after her 93rd birthday. She was born November 30, 1927 in Eagleville MO to Donald H. and Flora (Skelton) Davidson.
Her father Donald was a superintendent of schools and she attended many elementary schools in NW Missouri and also in Southern Missouri. She especially loved the years the family spent in Alton and Steelville Missouri. She graduated from Hatfield MO high school in 1945. She attended the University of Missouri graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 1950 and a Master’s degree in 1951.
She then moved to and began teaching high school in Albany Missouri, where she met and married Raymond Walker in 1952. They later divorced. She and her family moved to Kansas City where she taught at West Junior High School.
In 1958 she took a teaching position in the women’s PE department at Northwest Missouri State Teachers College (now NW Missouri State University) retiring in 1987. When she started at Northwest the women’s gym was under the old auditorium in the Administration Building. The Men’s Gym at that time was in what is now Martindale. During her years at NW she taught many classes and was the first instructor at NW in Archery and fencing. For many years she was on the National Board of Outdoor Recreation for Archery along with Fred Bear founder of Bear Archery. She was also the NW womens’ volleyball and basketball coach in the early 60’s and brought power volleyball to NWMSU. For several years in the late 60’s she was on the seeding committee for the NCAA Women’s Volleyball National Championship Tournament. She was a lifetime official in both volleyball and basketball, teaching officiating classes and testing for officials certification. She was the long time sponsor of the NWMSU PE Majors club. Janie, as she was called, loved NWMSU men’s and women’s athletics (MO West, and Central not so much), Olympic sports; (especially track and field attending the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City), travelling and reading.
She had traveled to 49 states, Europe, Russia, Egypt, many trips to Mexico and South America including Machu Pichu in Peru which she visited when she was 78 years old. In 2011 she was awarded the Distinguished Faculty Emeritus Award for her years of service at NWMSU. She was a member of the Maryville Presbyterian Church and a former Deacon. Janie was a lifelong Democrat and contributed to the campaign of President Elect Joseph Biden. She was passionate about education and endowed scholarships at the University of Missouri for students from North Harrison High School and Albany Mo High School. She is survived by her son Bruce (Emily) Walker of Raymond WA, grandsons Tyrus (Vala) Walker of Orcas Island WA and Randal Walker of Seattle WA, and 7 great grandsons. The family would like to thank all the staff at Parkdale Manor for their wonderful care of Janie.

Walker, Troy William -
Troy William Walker, 44, of Maryville, MO passed away December 26, 2020 at his home, after an eleven-month battle with cancer. He died surrounded by loving family at his side.
Troy was born November 8, 1976 in Maryville, MO. His parents were William “Bill” Walker and Vicki Jean (Umbenhower) Walker. He was preceded in death by his father who died August 23, 2020.
He graduated from North East Nodaway high school class of 1995 in Ravenwood, MO. Except for 11 years living in Colorado he lived his life in Nodaway County.
Troy was of the Christian faith.
He owned and operated the Walker Body Shop and Towing LLC in Maryville. While in Colorado he worked at Berthod Motors as a body repair man in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
On September 19, 1998 at the First Christian Church in Maryville he was united in marriage to Erin Teresa Dougan. They were married 22 years. Erin survives of the home.
Troy loved to do anything outdoor related. These things included hunting and fishing, snowmobiling, camping in the mountains and loved doing anything with his family in Colorado.
Troy is survived by a large and loving family; his two children, Kennedy Geraldine and Eli William Walker, his mother Vicki of Ravenwood, his sister Amber (Travis) Clausen of St. Joseph, MO, his five brothers Todd (Alisa) Walker of Ravenwood, Trent (Misty) Walker of Dana Pointe, CA, Tate (Angela) Walker, Tanner (Louise) Walker, and Tyler (Emilee) Walker all of Maryville, he is also survived by his grandmother Yvonne Hilsabeck of Barnard, MO. Other survivors include his mother and father in law Michael “ Mick” and Vicky Dougan of Maryville and his brother in law Coby (Melissa) Dougan of Platte City, MO and his grand father in law Billy Campbell of Louisburg, MO as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services for Troy Walker will be conducted at 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Laura Street Baptist Church, Maryville. Burial to follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Ravenwood, MO.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 6-8 PM at Laura Street Baptist Church, Maryville.
Memorials can be directed to the family for Troy’s children’s college funds or to the Mosaic Cancer Center in St. Joseph, MO.

Wehrmacher, Berdella May Larsen - Berdella May (Larsen) Wehrmacher passed away peacefully at 98 years seven months. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry, after 71 years of marriage. She is survived by five children, William, James, Karen, John, Charles, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Berdella was born April 23, 1922 in Guilford, MO. She was a remarkable lady. As a young girl, she survived Still’s disease, a rare and painful arthritic condition that kept her at home. Despite this, she was a successful student throughout her life.
She attended Graceland College and the University of Iowa. She recalled that she was the only woman in her science classes, and was largely ignored by her professors and fellow students until they realized she was the class leader. She earned a degree in Mathematics and was the first woman at UI to take Engineering Physics.
Married during the war years, she lived in California, Iowa, Michigan, and Virginia, before settling in Illinois where she lived much of her adult life and raised her family. She finally spent the last six years of her life in Cedar Falls, IA, where she enjoyed spending time with her family.
A lifelong member of the RLDS church, she will be buried in Guilford, MO next to her parents.

Wiederholt, Marvin - Marvin Wiederholt, 83, of Ravenwood, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Orilla’s Way in Grant City, Missouri.
Marvin was born on March 3, 1937 in Conception Junction, Missouri to Edward P. and Rose C. (Miller) Wiederholt. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Parnell and Tri-C American Legion Post #464 in Conception Junction. He was a farmer and had worked for Energizer for 22 years.
He married Carmelita M. Kelmel on January 4, 1964 in Maryville, Missouri. She preceded him in death on November 22, 2019. He was also preceded by his parents and eight siblings, Loretta Lehmer, Gerald Wiederholt, Beatrice Lager, Norbert Wiederholt, Eddie Wiederholt, Margaret Smith, Leroy Wiederholt, Kathleen Cole, Millie Teeter and two great-grandchildren, Enzley Ault and Corbin Wiederholt.
He is survived by his children, Christopher Wiederholt, Conception Jct., Missouri, Regina Wiederholt, Crystal Lake, Illinois, Ronald (Diane) Wiederholt, Ravenwood, Missouri and Eddie (Tiffany) Wiederholt, Ravenwood, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and his sister, Delores Umphrey, Stanberry, Missouri.
Mr. Wiederholt has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home.

Wilmes, Janell Marie Meyer - Janell Marie Wilmes passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Mosaic Life Care in St.Joseph, Missouri.
Janell was born on August 2, 1939 in Clyde, Missouri to Joseph “Andrew” and Katherine “Lucile” (Neilson) Meyer. She was a 1959 graduate of Northeast Nodaway High School in Ravenwood,Missouri. Janell was a homemaker and a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
She married James A. “Jim” Wilmes on December 28, 1968. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2001. She was also preceded by her parents, two brothers, Kenneth and James Meyer and two brother-in-laws, Gary Duskin and Jim Gaskill.
Survivors include her son, Michael Wilmes; two sisters, Mary Gaskill and Karen Duskin; two brothers, Joe Meyer (Lyn) and Rick Meyer (Amy), sister-in-law Judy Meyer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a private ceremony for the internment of ashes. A celebration of Janell’s life is tentatively set for August 1, 2021 in Maryville at a place to be determined. Details will be published at a laterdate.

Deborah Kay Wilson, 64, of Conception Junction, MO, passed from this life on Monday, October 26, 2020, at her daughter’s home in Kansas City, MO.
Deb was born in Kansas City, KS, on August 11, 1956. She had formerly lived in Kansas City, KS, and graduated Wyandotte High School. She had spent 3 years in Hawaii, and the past 11 years in Nodaway County.
She had been an access rep for Mosaic Life Care. She was of the Christian faith.
Deb loved spending time with her grandchildren; she liked to garden, and to go camping. She loved Hummingbirds, and she raised miniature goats.
Her parents were Don and Blanchie (Smith) Schipper, and they preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Emery Eugene Davis.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Kenneth Wilson, of the home in Conception Junction; her sons: Ryan Hegarty, Thomas Hegarty, and Robert Hegarty, all of Kansas City, KS, 2 step sons: David (Kim) Wilson, and Jeremy (Miranda) Wilson, all of Maryville, MO; daughter, Jennifer Stocks, Kansas City, MO; 2 step daughters: Mia (Daniel) Nelson, and Terri (Scotty) Wiley, all of Maryville, MO; her sister, Delores (Scott) Stuzman, of Texas; 18 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wilson has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. No services are planned at this time.
