Barmann, John Thomas - John Thomas Barmann, 77, Barnard, Missouri, died Friday, July 24, 2015, at University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas.
John was born Friday, December 24, 1937, in Maryville, Missouri to Paul Edward and Helen Margaret (Lahr) Barmann.
A 1955 graduate of Maryville High School, he was a farmer.
John was a member of the St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
John is survived by his brother, James (Pat) Barmann, Kearney, Missouri and sister, Kathryn Reynolds, Wentzville, Missouri.
A Rosary will be held at 9:00 am Wednesday, July 29th, to be followed by a visitation from 9:30-10:00 AM, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville, Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM, officiated by Fr. Karl Barmann OSB.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Maryville.

Barrock, Juanita Mae - Juanita Mae Barrock, 92, Maryville, Missouri, died Friday, October 16, 2015, at the Surgicenter of Johnson County, Overland Park, Kansas.
Juanita was born September 26, 1923, in Farragut, Iowa. She was a graduate of Tarkio, Missouri High School, after attending Hopkins High School in her earlier years.
She married Elmer Barrock on May 3, 1953, in Maryville..
A member of the First Christian Church, Juanita retired as a retail clerk for Earl May Garden Center in Maryville.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Elmer Barrock, son Mike Barrock.
Surviving Juanita is her daughter Terry (Crain) Logsdon and Terry's husband Jim of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Memorial graveside services and inurnment will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 23, 2015 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 PM, Thursday at Price Funeral Home in Maryville

Bears, Geraldine Marie Greeley - Geraldine Marie Bears, 95, of Burlington Junction, MO, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at a nursing home in Maryville, MO.
Geraldine was born in Braddyville, IA, on December 16, 1919. Her parents were David B. and Grace Louvada “Vada” (Brown) Greeley. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her husband Kenneth in 2003; her brother, Robert Greeley, and a grandson, Craig Bears.
Geraldine lived all her life in the Burlington Junction area. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She loved to crochet and to make afghans. She was a member of the Burlington Junction United Methodist Church.
On February 12, 1941, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Leroy Bears, in Maryville, MO. He passed away in 2003 after 51 years of marriage.
Her survivors include her children, Deloris Shipley, Burlington Junction, MO, and Donald (Dorothy) Bears, Topeka, KS; 2 sisters, Jane (Eldon) Buesing, Maryville, MO, and Louvada (Jim) McAlpin, New Market, IA, brother, Richard Greeley, Maryville, MO; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 28, 2015, at the Burlington Junction United Methodist Church. The burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Clearmont, MO.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Services are under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

at St. Francis Hospital and Health Services, Maryville.
Ronnie was born July 31, 1940, in Barnard, Missouri
to Clyde A. and Bertha Ellen (Nelson) Beattie
who preceded him in death.
He married
Phyliss Gilbert October 2, 1961 in Maryville.
She preceded him in death (November 30, 1995).
A 1958 graduate of South Nodaway High School,
he was retired as the owner/operator of Beattie "Trashman" Service.
Ronnie was a lifetime member of the Eagle's Lodge, Maryville.
Also preceding him in death were

Bowman, Carolyn Massie - Carolyn Bowman, 79, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015, at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital, North Kansas City, MO.
Carolyn was born in Maryville, MO, on February 2, 1936. Her parents were Charles M. and Pauline (Miller) Massie, they preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her daughter Nancy Lynn Bowman, and her two sisters, Virginia Hogue-Combs, and Norma Newman.
She graduated from Hopkins High School in 1954, and had attended Northwest Missouri State Teachers College in Maryville.
She loved horses in her youth, and in her later years cooking for her family and friends was a great joy. She was of the Christian faith, and had once been the organist at a Presbyterian church in Shakopee, MN.
On September 6, 1955, Carolyn was united in marriage to Ronald Dean Bowman, in Pickering, MO. He survives of the home.
Carolyn and Ronald moved to Minnesota in 1955. Then in 1978 they moved and lived in Escondido, CA, until April of this year. She had been a homemaker, raising the children, and took temporary secretary jobs in Minnesota. She later sold real estate in California for 20 Years.
Survivors include her husband Ronald, of the home; 2 children, Kimberly (Tom) DeRuyter, Fairbanks, AK, and Darwin Bowman, Minneapolis, MN; 2 grandchildren, Megan DeRuyter, and Chloe Lynch; and numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
Services will be at 1:30 PM, on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will follow in the Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 PM, Monday, September 21, 2015, at the funeral home.

Brand, Mary M. Coleman - Mary M. Brand, 87, of Ravenwood, Missouri, passed from this life on Friday, August 7, 2015, at the Parkdale Manor Nursing Home, Maryville.
Mary was born on February 16, 1928, in Hopkins, to Lew and Lola (Gray)Coleman, she lived in Hopkins and graduated from the Hopkins High School in 1946.
On January 24, 1948, at the home of Rev. L.B. Day, in Maryville, Mary was united in marriage to Robert E. Brand. They moved to the Ravenwood area in the early 1960’s where they continued farming and raised their children.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert on June 16, 1982, and six brothers, one in infancy, then Robert, Raymond, Sherman, Floyd, and Russ Coleman, and two sisters, Dorothy Kellogg, and Maxine Morrison.
Mary helped her husband on the farm, and later worked at Armstrong Restaurant, and Place’s Dime Store, both of Maryville. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Hopkins.
Her survivors include four sons, Charles (Kathy) Brand, Ravenwood, John Brand, Maryville, Mike (Kathy) Brand, Ravenwood, and Eric Brand, Ravenwood; three grandchildren, Brandon (Natasha) Brand, Maryville, Robert Brand, Ravenwood, and Laura (Jeff) Constant, Kingsville, Texas; five great grandchildren, Ashton and Lana Brand, and Blayne, Iliya and Thayer Constant; sister, Betty (Ron) Hardy, Belton, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 10, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri. The burial follow in the Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, Missouri. The minister was Pastor Janis Roorda.
The family receive friends for one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family to help establish scholarship funds for Mary’s great grandchildren.

Branson, Lloyd D. - Lloyd D. Branson, the son of Lester Daniel and Bessie Precilla (Lane) Branson, was born August 24, 1928, in Tarkio, Missouri. Lloyd’s family moved to California where he attended school. On September 6, 1945, he entered the United States Navy and served his country during World War II, while also finishing his high school education. Lloyd received his honorable discharge on January 24, 1950.
On May 6, 1979, Lloyd was united in marriage to Sharley Goerner in Aurora, Colorado. They moved to Atchison County in the early 1980’s and into Rock Port in the early 1990’s where they lived to the present time.
Lloyd was employed as a district manager for the Shoe Corporation of America, retiring in the early 1980’s. For 14 years, Lloyd worked as a dispatcher for the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office and for a few years at Do It Best Hardware, in Rock Port. He was a former member of the Ralph Greer American Legion Post #49, Rock Port. Lloyd passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, at the age of 87.
Besides his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by son, Kenneth Goerner; granddaughter, Amber Branson; and brothers, Howard and Tom Branson. Survivors include wife, Sharley, Rock Port; children, Derek Branson and wife, Sheila, Washington, Ryan Branson and wife, Pam, Oregon, Miles Branson and wife, Timi, California, Kathi Hatleback and husband, Bryan, Fairfax, Missouri, Lorri Sleeth and Steve Goerner, both of Colorado; 12 grandchildren, Travis, Josh, Stephanie, Iliah, Chad, Chelsea, Kira, Matthew, Courtney, Jamie, Nathan and Brandon; 13 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Madisen, Conner, Cadence, Brennan, Eli, Noah, Hannah, Ezekiel, Henry, Jake, Kyle and Max; and two brothers, Chuck Branson and Paul Fenton and wife, Toni, all of California.
Memorial Services: 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 24, 2015, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
A memorial service and inurnment will be held at a later date at Crown Hill Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.

Lewis was born June 10, 1936, in Elmo to Lewis Raymond and Geraldine Baker Brown.
He married Sharon Irene Lyle October 3, 1959, in Burlington Jct., Missouri. She preceded him in death September 3, 1999.
A 1954 graduate of Elmo High School, he served from 1955-1963 with the Missouri National Guard and the Army Reserves.
Lewis was a lifetime farmer and a member of the Elmo United Methodist Church.

A 1936 graduate of Quitman, Missouri High School, she was a homemaker.
Mary Ellen married James Homer Brown October 4, 1938, in Oregon, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Homer Brown (December 16, 2004); son Roger Brown; 4 sisters: Ruth McIntosh, Nettie Davie, Eva Jean Kruse and Betty McGinnis; 2 brothers: Joe and Eddie Shores and 2 sons-in-law: Francis Deen and Bob Shoup.

Busby, Ruth Ellen - Ruth Ellen Busby, 78, Maryville, died Monday, July 27, 2015, at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, Missouri.
She was born August 26, 1936, in Maryville to John Ferdinand and Gertrude (Lahr) Busby.
A 1954 graduate of Maryville High School, she then graduated from Northwest Missouri State Collge with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She was a retired Director of Nodaway County Social Services.
Ruth was a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Community, She belonged to many bridge groups and was a dog lover.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brother John Busby; sisters Mary Ann Carter and Barbara Busby and nephews Thomas and John Carter.
She is survived by nieces and nephews: Robert Carter, James Carter and Edward Carter, all of Jefferson City, Missouri; Michael Carter, Morgantown, West Virginia, Barbara Matthews, Overland Park, Kansas, Larry Busby and Richard Busby, both of Parnell, Missouri; Kevin Busby, St. Joseph, Earl Busby, Kilgore, Texas, Mary Jo Barmann, Maryville and several great-nieces and nephews.

Callow, Elsie Rose - Elsie Rose Callow, 90, Maryville, Missouri, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Parkdale Manor Care Center, Maryville.
Elsie was born October 16, 1924, in Birch Tree, Missouri (Shannon County), to Richard Jay and Mable (Jameson) Scoville.
A graduate of Birch Tree High School, she was a homemaker.
She served in the United States Marine Corps Women's Reserve, attaining the rank of Corporal.
Elsie married James Arthur Callow, February 27, 1947, in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She was a member of the Bethany Rural Christian Church, Barnard, MO.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James Callow (June 20, 2013), son Mike Callow (November 6, 1998); great-grandson, Brayden Callow (August 24, 2006); two sisters and four brothers.
Surviving Elsie are her children: Jerry (Kay) Callow, Saint Joseph, MO, Don (Connie) Callow, Maryville, Alan (Lori) Callow, Smithville, MO and George (Evelyn) Callow, Graham, MO; daughter-in-law Dawn Callow, Boardman, Oregon; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Carlson, Robert Lynn - Robert Lynn Carlson, 65, passed away Monday, July 13 at his home near Clearmont, Missouri.
Lynn was born September 2, 1949 in Elmo, Missouri. His parents were Bob and Grace (Ecker) Carlson. Lynn grew up on the family farm and completed his early education at West Nodaway High School, Burlington Jct, Missouri. In 1971 Lynn graduated from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Missouri with a BS Degree in English, Speech, and Theatre. Lynn worked as a radio broadcaster and in sales before returning to NWMSU and graduating in 1994 with a Masters Degree in Secondary English. Lynn’s teaching career took him to New Mexico and Maysville, Missouri before finally returning to his alma mater West Nodaway from 2001 until his retirement in May 2015.
Preceding Lynn in death were his parents; his beloved wife Sharon; and his nephew Kevin Evans.
Lynn is survived by his siblings, Ed Carlson and wife Janice, Corning, Iowa; Dean Carlson and wife Nellie, Bellevue, Nebraska; Ethel Phillips and husband Dick, Lakewood, Colorado; Lillian Evans and husband Marvin, Clearmont; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends Ryan & Shelbey Henry.
Per Lynn’s wishes, he has been cremated and there will be no funeral service. Friends, family, and former students are invited to honor Lynn at a tree planting ceremony on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 7 p.m. at the Little Red Schoolhouse in Clearmont.
Contributions in memory of Lynn can be made to the Lynn Carlson Memorial Fund at Citizens Bank & Trust in Burlington Jct.

Carroll, Jeremy Alan - Jeremy Alan Carroll, 44, of Burlington Junction, MO, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015, in Maryville, MO.
Jeremy was born on December 13, 1970, in Maryville. His parents were Richard Blayne and Dorothy Lee (Davidson) Carroll.
He is survived by his daughters, Toni Lee, and Breann Winter Carroll; his parents; and numerous aunt, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 12, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville. No formal visitation is planned.

Carroll, Virgil V. "Vonnie" - Virgil Vaughn “Vonnie” Carroll, 62, of Maryville, MO, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Vonnie was born on October 6, 1953, in Skidmore, MO, to Curtis Blaine and Arlene (Parker) Carroll. His father preceded him in death.
A 1972 graduate of Nodaway-Holt High School, Vonnie was a veteran of the US Air Force Reserves. He worked in sales, most recently he spent 14 years with Metal Sales Manufacturing, and prior to that he had worked for Woodruff-Arnold, in Maryville.
On November 27, 1971, Vonnie was united in marriage to Teresa A. Scarbrough, in Mound City, MO.
Vonnie’s job had taken them to several places over the years; Topeka, KS, Shreveport, LA, Cedar Rapids, IA, Maryville, MO, Davenport, IA, Temple, TX, and back in Maryville for the past 8 years.
His survivors include his wife, Terri, of the home; 2 sons, Tony (Nikki) Carroll, Ankeny, IA, and Mike (Miranda) Carroll, Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Morgan Carroll, Ankeny, IA, and Ireland, Aiden, Erin, and Abigail Carroll, Phoenix, AZ; his mother, Arlene Carroll, Maryville, MO; siblings, Richard (Dorothy) Carroll, Burlington Junction, MO, Christine (Kenny) Nielson, Maryville, MO, LaVern Carroll, Bolivar, MO, Ronald Dean Carroll, Maryville, MO, and Don (Peggy) Carroll, Marion, Michigan, and Bill (Lynn) Carroll, Marion, Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Services will be at 9:30 AM, Monday, October 26, 2015, at the Laura Street Baptist Church, Maryville, MO. The burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City, MO. The officiant will be Pastor Paul McKim.

Cox, Donald Shelton - Donald Shelton Cox, 87, Maryville, MO, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at his home.
He was born on April 22, 1928, in Maryville, to Wilbur M. and Beatrice R. (Green) Cox.
Don was educated in rural Maryville schools and graduated from Horace Mann High School. He had attended NWMSU.
He was a US Navy veteran in WW II, serving aboard the USS Prairie, and USS Southerland.
His memberships included the First United Methodist Church, the James Edward Gray American Legion Post 100; a member and past Worshipful Master of Nodaway Masonic Lodge #470, AF& AM, The Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of St. Joseph, a Legion of Honor member of the Moila Shrine Temple, and the IBEW, St. Joseph local.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Francis Cox.
Don spent 38 years with St. Joseph Light and Power. He was a lineman, and retired as the superintendent of the North Division.
On June 2, 1948, Don was united in marriage to Joan Aileen Schneider in Maryville. She survives of the home in Maryville.
Other survivors include his children, Susan (Richard) Cordell, Grain Valley, MO, Sally (Edward) Klaas, Jr., Maryville, John Cox, Cosby, MO, Don (Marie) Cox, Jr., Springfield, MO, Cindy (Doug) Mikkelson, Newton, IA, and Shelly Null, Jefferson City, MO; 14 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Miriam Cemetery, both of Maryville. The minister will be Pastor Paul McKim.
Military rites at the cemetery will be conducted by the Military Honors Detail, and members of James Edward Gray, American Legion Post 100, Maryville.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Monday, July 13, 2015, at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be recited following the visitation.

Coy, Helen Fern Landers - Helen Fern Coy, 89, of Maryville, Mo, passes from this life on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the Golden Living Center, with her family at her side.
Born on October 7, 1925, in Gainesville, Mo, she was the daughter of Armand Armor and Lucy Jane (Gibson) Landers. She was also preceded by her husband Thomas A. Coy, and two brothers, Guy Landers and Tommy Landers.
Fern lived her adult life in the Maryville area and was a dedicated homemaker who loved to sew.
On February 4, 1946, Fern was united in marriage to Thomas A. Coy, in Kansas City, Ks. He passed away on March 4, 2006, after 60 years of marriage.
Fern is survived by her children, Gary F. Coy and wife Latkana of Nixa, MO, Thomas Glenn Coy of Maryville, Mo, and Janet L. Coy of Houston, TX; siblings Pauline Zugher of Kansas City, MO, Rex Landers of Gainesville, MO and Leona Morrison and husband Clay; grandchildren Lesa Geibler and husband John of Kimberly City, MO, Jason Coy of Barnhart, MO, Danny Coy of Marion, IN, Amanda Tralles and her husband Mike of House Springs, MO, Alan Coy and his wife Carolyn of Maryville, MO, and Bond Bourquein of Houston, TX, and five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cunniff, Mary Grace - Sister Mary Grace Cunniff OSB, 88, of Clyde, Missouri passed away on August 18, 2015 at Our Lady of Rickenbach, Clyde, Missouri.
Ellen Josephine Cunniff was born September 12, 1926 in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of Martin and Sarah (Shea) Cunniff. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Nashville.
Ellen joined the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration on July 15, 1945 and was given the name Sr. Mary Grace. She made her First Profession on February 15, 1947 and Final Vows on February 21, 1952.
Sr. Mary Grace worked in the Altar Bread Department, the Kitchen and also helped with Correspondence at the convent.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a brother.
Survivors include her sisters: Sr. Mary Stella Cunniff, OSB, Clyde, Missouri; Theresa Bradshaw, Jackson, Mississippi and brother: William Cunnif, Madison, Alabama; nieces, nephews, many friends and her Monastic Community.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 8:30 AM Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Monastery Chapel, Clyde with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Clyde.

Vincent Henry Derks, 96, formerly of Maryville, MO, died Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Mable Rose Assisted Living Facility in Papillion, Nebraska.
He was born August 7, 1919, near Clyde, MO, in Gentry County, the son of John H. and Veronica L. (Klaas) Derks. Vince served in the Pacific Theater during World War II at Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, and New Guinea.
In November 1945 after the war, he married Pauline Meyer and began their 67 year marriage. He was trained as an auto mechanic using the GI Bill and retired from that profession in 1989. He worked in David City, NE and Clarinda, IA, and in 1951 moved to Maryville to work and raise his family. There he was employed by Curnutt, Wilkinson, and finally Boyles Motors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Pauline Meyer Derks; sisters: Leona McQueen, Marcella Frans, Maragruette Derks; brothers: Raymond Derks, John Derks, Joseph Derks; and grandson Matthew Mendoza.
Surviving Vincent are his son: Paul (Becky) Derks, Bellevue, NE; daughters: Connie (Roger) Stucki, Kansas City, MO amd Jo Beth Betts, Waynesville, MO; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; his brother Donald (Marilyn) Derks, Hobson, Montana; sisters: Mary Walter, St. Joseph, Esther Schmidt, Cumming, GA; brother-in-law Norbert Meyer, Iowa City, IA and sister-in-law Mary Ann Meyer, Stanberry, and many, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville. The visitation will be followed by a rosary at 7:00 PM.

Everhart, David Wendell - David Wendell Everhart, 58, of Skidmore, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at his home in Skidmore.
David was born on January 25, 1957, in Fairfax, MO, his parents were William E. and Marian J. (John) Everhart. He had lived all his life in Northwest Missouri. His father preceded him in death.
He graduated from Nodaway-Holt R-VII School in 1975. He was also a graduate of the NWMTS Electronic course.
He served his country in the Missouri Army National Guard right after high school. He completed Officers Training and obtained the rank of Captain. He was the commanding officer of the Albany and the Independence units of the Guard.
David loved the outdoors, farming and fishing, he had retired from Kawasaki due to Illness.
He married Lisa Ridler, and they later divorced.
He is survived by his children, William David (Joni) Everhart, Holt, MO, Joseph Ross Everhart, Skidmore, MO, and Natalie ( Sam) Jackson, Oregon, MO; his mother, Marian J. Everhart, Skidmore, MO, his sister, Cynthia Crawford; grandchildren, Reese Everhart, Jayce, Will, Isabella Jackson. David Everhart was also expecting another granddaughter in December.
His greatest delight during the last few years was voluteering to deliver Meal on Wheels to the elderly in Skidmore. Each of them held a special place in his heart. His grandchildren were extra special, and he was looking forward to a new one in December.
Mr. Everhart has been cremated.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, Mr. Bruce Roberts will be the officiant.

Fugate, Jerry Leigh - Jerry Leigh Fugate, 74, Ravenwood, MO passed away peacefully Monday, October 12, 2015, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with his family at his side.
Jerry was born August 5, 1941 to Haldon Dale and Laverne Laird Fugate near Tingley, IA.
He graduated from Kellerton, IA High School in 1959 , then attended Northwest Missouri State University. In May 1962, he married Karen Messner.
He spent his adult life in Northwest Missouri working various jobs, making friends and touching lives. Jerry was a member of the Ravenwood Christian Church.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Haldon and Laverne Fugate and father-in-law Lloyd Messner.
Jerry is survived by his wife Karen of the home; brother James Fugate and wife Jean, Fond du Lac, WI; sister Sharon Davis, Mt. Ayr, IA; mother-in-law Helen Messner, Maryville; sister-in-law Kathryn Newberry and Buster, Parnell; son Kevin Fugate and wife Kimberly, Ravenwood; and daughter Kim Downen and Jay Knopp, Atchison, KS; grandchildren: Chelsey McCrary and Trevor, St. Joseph; Dylan Downen, Maryville; Haldon Fugate and Jamie, Beatrice, NE and Megan Fugate, Clarinda, IA; Step-grandchildren: Addison Schelling, Shenandoah, IA and Bailey Hightower, York, NE; a future great-grandson, nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.

Goff, Larry Newell - Larry Newell Goff, 67, of Conception Junction, MO, passed away on
Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at his home.
Larry was born on July 1, 1948, in Maryville, MO. His parents were Albert Newell and Beatrice Kathleen (Turner) Goff.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father in law, George Wiederholt; and niece Sierra Goforth Wilms.
Larry was a graduate of Graham High School, Graham, MO. He was retired as an over the road truck driver.
Larry proudly served his country in the US Air Force, and obtained the rank of Sergeant. He was in the Boy Scouts, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was a member of the Maryville Bearcat Eagles Arie #3669, Maryville, MO, and the Tri-C American Legion Post 464, Conception Junction, MO.
On May 2, 1998, in Stanberry, MO, Larry was united in marriage to Cathy Wiederholt, she survives of the home.
His survivors include his wife, Cathy, of the home; 5 children, son, Heath Newell Goff, Maitland, MO, Paul (Melanie) Henggeler, Barnard, MO, Melissa (Al) Adair, Smithville, MO, Tammy Stiens (Brian), Liberty, MO, George (Melissa) Henggeler, Liberty, MO; 10 grandchildren, Chase Newell Goff, Cole and Cade Henggeler, Dalanie and Lane Acklin, Liam Adair, Tanner Kinder, Isabelle Stiens, Sawyer Engel, Allie and Bennett Henggeler; sisters, Kathy (Dewain) Roach, Rea, MO, Joan Thezan, Belton, MO; mother in law, Betty Wiederholt; he was a father figure to many in the surrounding area; and had a host of friends.

Military rites at the cemetery will be by members of the Tri-C American Legion Post 464, and members of the Missouri Military Honors Detail.

Arthur Thomas Goodspeed, 94, Maryville, Missouri, died Monday, September 7, 2015, at Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville, Missouri.
Art was born May 21, 1921, in Bedford, Iowa to Edwin Ogden and Esther Elma (Faris) Goodspeed.
A 1939 graduate of Maryville High School, he received his BS in Agriculture Education from the University of Missouri. He had been an Ag teacher, farmer and was a rural mail carrier for 36 years.
He married Martha M. Mumford October 26, 1943, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Art was a member of the Maryville First Christian Church, James Edward Gray American Legion Post #100, and National Rural Letter Carrier Association.
Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Martha Goodspeed (December 17, 1989), step-mother Glen Goodspeed (March 3, 1999), two sons Ronald (June 23, 1983) and Alan (September 18, 2013).
Surviving him are his son Richard (Wanda) Goodspeed, Maryville; two daughters Carole (Jerry) Protzman, San Tan, Arizona and Karen (Dennis) Dakan, Maryville; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law Fran Goodspeed, Fullerton, Nebraska and Delma Goodspeed, Maryville; two sisters Ruth Parman, Spokane, Washington and Helen Otis, Williamsburg, Virginia and sister-in-law Irene Brown, Maryville.

Hardy, Franklin Gene - Franklin Gene Hardy, 81, of Maitland, MO, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015, at the Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville, MO.
Franklin was born near Maitland on March 2, 1934. His parents were Buren Jefferson and Rachel May (Wellington) Hardy, and preceded him in death. He was also preceded by 2 children, Billy Wayne Hardy, in 1957, and Rachel Louann Hardy, in 1963.
Franklin was a lifelong resident of the area, and graduated Salutatorian of his class at the Maitland High School. He was a member of the Skidmore Christian Church, Skidmore, MO. He served his country in the Missouri Army National Guard.
For over 50 years Franklin worked for Holt County, Missouri. He retired as the County Road Supervisor, and has a bridge named after him in honor of his service. In his spare time he loved to garden.
On June 15, 1957, in Maitland, Franklin was united in marriage to Donna Merlene McCurry, she survives of the home.
He is also survived by his children, Bob (Mandy) Hardy, Yellville, AR, David (Connie) Hardy, Downs, KS, Jim (Laurie) Hardy, Omaha, NE, Tony Hardy, Springfield, MO, Terry (Lisa) Hardy, Marshfield, MO, Stacey (Casey Keith) Hardy, Gower, MO, Crystal (Jeremy) Wenger, Maitland, MO, Louis (Julia) Hardy, Wilksboro, NC, Brandon Hardy, Savannah, MO, and Stephanie Hardy, Maryville, MO; brother, Buren Eldon (Kay) Hardy, Omaha, NE; 23 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Hartman, John Raymond - John Raymond Hartman, 80, Maryville, Missouri, died Thursday, September 10, 2015, at Golden Living in Maryville.
John was born September 27, 1934 in Barnard, Missouri to Charles and Mildred (Armstrong) Hartman. He was a 1954 graduate of Horace Mann High School in Maryville.
For many years John was employed by the Farmer's Produce in Marvyille, until it closed, and then he joined the Maintenance staff at Northwest Missouri State University until retiring from there.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Margaret Baker (September 25, 2014)
Surviving John are his brothers Jim and Bob Hartman, Maryville and sisters Doris Neal, Maryville and Marjorie Gryka, Arcadia, CA and many nieces and nephews.

Holbrook, James Robert "Uno" - James Robert “Uno” Holbrook, 64, of Skidmore, MO, was born to Doris L. Curry (Allen) and Robert L. Holbrook, in Maryville, MO, and peacefully passed September 13, 2015, at his home south of Quitman, MO.
Jim graduated from Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, MO, and served his country as a Sharpshooter in the Vietnam War in the US Army/Fort Dix, earning the National Defense Service Medal.
A retired Locomotive Engineer from BNSF Railway, Jim later worked as a long-haul truck driver. He enjoyed his free time with his beloved horses, and especially loved the company of his cherished friends.
Survived by loving sisters Deborah Holbrook of Maryville; Sherrie Hamann (Harvey) of Colorado Springs, CO; and Pamela Gutierrez (Mark) of Omaha, NE; nieces, nephew, Aunts, cousins, and former spouse, Theresa Riley, of Maryville, and her daughters Shelley and Christy McGinnis.
Our hearts are broken – Jim will be treasured, always, by his family and friends.
A memorial gathering for Jim is pending. Cremation services were handled through the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

Jackson, Ronald Francis - Ronald Francis Jackson, 57, Ravenwood, Missouri, died Thursday, August 27, 2015, at his home, Ravenwood, Missouri.
He was born October 4, 1957, in Maryville, Missouri to Francis and Darlene (Wyatt) Jackson.
He married Tammy Berg July 16, 1977, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church,Parnell, Missouri, and they shared 38 years together.
A 1975 graduate of Northeast Nodaway High School, Ron was a general contractor, owning and operating Jackson Construction, and took much pride in his work. His customers became valued friends. Ron was happiest when he was in the company of his family and friends. He was a sports fan and especially enjoyed hunting wildlife. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and was very much looking forward to the arrival of his fourth grandchild in October.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Rick Jackson.
Ron is survived by his wife Tammy Jackson of the home, son Rory (Heather) Jackson, Maryville, MO, daughter Ronna (Mike) Zaun, Rosemount, MN,, two grandsons, Brody Jackson and Cooper Jackson, a granddaughter Ellie Jackson, all of Maryville, his mother, Darlene Jackson; four sisters: Sue (Richard) Burns, Carol (Ron) Morin, Staci (Kirby) Leslie and Shelly Jackson; two brothers: Randy Jackson and Roger Jackson.

Shirley was born June 20, 1926, in Maryville, to J. B. and Flora (Appleby) French.
A 1944 graduate of Maryville High School, she also attended Northwest Missouri State College, where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority. Shirley and Harold Lee Job were married June 16, 1946, in Maryville.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Shirley retired after many years of working with the Farmer's Home Administration in Maryville.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Harold Lee Job (March 6, 2015); granddaughter Alix Altenbern and brother Eugene French.
Surviving Shirley are her four children: Cheryl Johnson, Stafford, VA, Larry (Tammie) Job, Schertz, TX, Mike Job, Caldwell, ID, and Tim (Betty) Job, Maryville, MO; grandchildren: Liz Johnson, Sean Johnson, Melissa Jones, Sarah Fernandes, Preston Job, Stephanie Job, Sara Heideman, Taylor Job, Parker Job and Rachel Job; eleven great-grandchildren; and brother Ed (Joyce) French, Daphne, AL.

Koerble, Betty Bevis - Betty Bevis Koerble, 91, of Maryville, Missouri, passed from this life on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Parkdale Manor, where she had resided a short time. Betty was born on September 22, 1923 to Clifford and Eileen (Curran) Bevis in Harrison, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Mary Bevis and Dorothy Bevis Morgan; one brother Robert Bevis; husband Charles.
Betty graduated in 1941 from Harrison High School, and attended college at Miami University and Ohio State University, graduating with a B.S. in Education. She taught in Ohio for four years, then attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison, earning a M.S. in speech. She met and married Charles Koerble while attending the university, and their son Brian was born in Madison. The family moved to Maryville in 1954 when Charles was hired as Director of Guidance at Northwest Missouri State University. Their daughter Barbara was born in Maryville. Betty was active in community theatrical productions and several school organizations, including Faculty Dames. She taught a Speech Fundamentals course at NWMSU for three years. A member of the First United Methodist Church, Betty sang alto in the chancel choir for a number of years. After her husband Charles died in 1975, Betty worked as a Benefit Authorizer for the Social Security Administration in Kansas City, then became Office Manager at the Penny Press in Maryville for three years. Betty worked for many years as Vault Teller in the Cashiering Department at NWMSU. After retiring in 1991, she continued to live in Maryville, enjoying the company of her many friends. She was active with the former Dames, enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid Kansas City Royals fan.
She is survived by her children, son Brian Edward Koerble, San Diego, California, daughter Barbara Lee Koerble, Fort Worth, Texas; niece Beth Bevis Dunworth, nephews Mike Bevis and Jim Kleist, great-nephew Aaron Kleist.
Cremation is being handled through the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri. The family is planning a private memorial.

Lawyer, April Suzanne Treese - April Suzanne Lawyer, 52, of Maryville, MO, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, MO, with her family at her side.
April was born on April 3, 1963, in Maryville, MO, to Edward L. and Rose M. (Hass) Treese. Her father preceded her in death on September 18, 2010. She lived most of her life in this area and had spent 11 years on the east coast.
She was a 1981 graduate of Maryville High School. She graduated from NWMSU, and later obtained her Master’s Degree in Education from Northwest, with a specialty in early childhood development.
April was a member of the First Christian Church, Maryville, MO, MSTA (Missouri State Teachers Association), and a former member of MSHSAT Coaches Association (Missouri State High School Activities Association).
On June 9, 1984, at the First Christian Church in Maryville, she was united in marriage to Dave Lawyer, he survives of the home.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Clint A. Lawyer, Maryville, MO, Hannah L. Lawyer, Chadds Ford, PA, and Cole A. Lawyer, Maryville, MO; parents, Rose and Larry Vance, Maryville, MO; 2 sisters, Kim Treese, (and companion, Carl Vansickle), Maryville, MO, and Rosemary (Kirby) Stiens, Conception Junction, MO; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
April was a dedicated, spirited wife, mother and teacher. She had a meaningful impact on countless lives, on the east coast and throughout Northwest Missouri. She will be missed!

Mike was a lifelong resident of Maryville. He graduated from Maryville High School in 1970, and attended NWMSU. For 31 years, Mike was the owner/operator of the former Mackey Heating and Air Conditioning. From 2004 to 2007, he was the Maintenance Director at Golden Living Center, Maryville.
Memberships included the Maryville Jaycees, where he served as chapter president, and as a Jaycees National Ambassador. He was a charter member of the Maryville Pride Lions Club. He was of the Baptist faith.
On November 18, 1972, Mike was united in marriage to Billie Rae Milinkov, and she survives of the home in Maryville.
Other survivors include his children, Jaymie and husband, Troy Dietrich, Liberty, MO, Tyler and wife, Ashley Mackey, Kansas City, MO, Andy Mackey, Kansas City, MO, Doug and wife, Bethany Mackey, Minneapolis, MN, and David and wife, Sara Mackey, Lexington, NE; 7 grandchildren, Alden Dietrich, Mitchell Dietrich, Keaton Mackey, Melia, Jamison, and Bennett Mackey, and Presley Mackey; 3 brothers, Gary Mackey, Warrensburg, MO, Chris Mackey, Maryville, MO, and Tim and wife, Gina Mackey, Maryville, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Mackey has been cremated.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, October 16, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The inurnment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville, at a later date. The minister will be Pastor Paul McKim.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 PM, Thursday, October 15, 2015, at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born November 29, 1920, in Ravenwood to Manning and Myrtle (Evans) Moore. She was a 1938 graduate of Ravenwood High School.
Dorothy and Lloyd M. McCrorey were married February 7, 1939, in Savannah, MO.
A homemaker who lived on the family farm for 76 years, she was a member of the Ravenwood United Methodist Church and a former member of the Gallagher Club.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Lloyd McCrorey (July 8, 1995), brother Roy E. Moore, and sister Viola Hooker.

Minkoff, Melissa Lee - Melissa Lee Minkoff, 45, of Maryville, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at the Autumn House in Maryville.
Melissa was born on July 18, 1970, in Lawrence, Kansas. Her parents were Charles Hoyt and Lynda Gayle (Sneden) Seetin. Her father preceded her in death, and her brother, Hoyt Minkoff, in 2012. She lived many years in this area and had previously resided in Overland Park, KS, and in Colorado.
Melissa graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in Overland Park, KS, in 1989. She later attended NWMSU. She had been employed at Energizer in Maryville. She was a member of the Red Cross and had helped with the Hurricane Katrina cleanup efforts.
She is survived by her mother, Lynda G. Minkoff, Maryville, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at the Autumn House, 110 S. Vine, Maryville, MO.

Montross, Shirley Ann - Shirley Ann Montross, 60, of Maryville, MO, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at her home in Maryville, MO.
Shirley was born on June 15, 1955, in Maryville. Her parents were Jack and Ella Roberta (Elliott) DeVers. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, David Devers, and one brother-in-law Dale Montross, and father in law, Laverne Montross
On January 2, 1977, Shirley was united marriage to Gary D. Montross in Maryville, MO. They had lived 3 years in Clarinda, IA, and 5 years in Shenandoah, IA, before moving back to Maryville.
Shirley had worked for Parkdale Manor and other area nursing homes. She worked for 5 years for NWMSU.
She is survived by her husband Gary, of the home. Other survivors include her siblings, Susan (Kelly) Wilmes, Michael Steven Devers, Paul (Beth) Devers, Scott Devers, Bruce (Pam) Devers; her mother in law, Patricia Snyder, other in laws, David (Sharon) Montross,, Marilyn (Dale) Becker, Janet (Don) Trimmer, and Terry (Phyllis)Montross; numerous nieces and nephews.

Neumeyer, George Lee - George Lee Neumeyer, 100, Hopkins, Missouri, passed away July 21, 2015 at the home of his daughter in Hopkins.
He was born October 25, 1914 in Bedford, Iowa, the son of Henry and Constance (Florea) Neumeyer.
George served his country in the US Army during World War II. After the war he came back to Hopkins and married Mary Louise Russell on June 2, 1946.
He was a member of the Wray Memorial United Methodist Church, the Glen Ulmer American Legion Post #288 and the Xenia Masonic Lodge #50, all in Hopkins, Missouri.
George had been a mechanic for the Wolverton-Allison Ford Garage in Hopkins.
He was preceded in death by wife, Mary on February 28, 2011; his parents and siblings: Jason Neumeyer, Louise Archer, Verna McDonald, Sidney “Sid” Neumeyer, Richard Neumeyer and Howard Neumeyer.
Survivors include his daughter: Linda (Jesse) Everhart, Hopkins; three grandchildren: Jenna Hudson, Dripping Springs, Texas; Joseph (Kristen) Everhart, Springfield, Missouri and Jill (Beau) Downey, Wildwood, Missouri; and 7 great-grandchildren: Annie, Shelby and Georgia Hudson; Oscar and Olivia Downey; and Rylee Kennedy and Ryder Everhart.
Visitation were held Friday, July 31st. from 7-8:00 PM at the Wray Memorial United Methodist Church, Hopkins, with a Masonic Service at 8:00 PM.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 1st, also at the Church, with burial in Hopkins Cemetery. Graveside military services to be conducted at Graveside by the Bedford, Iowa American Legion.

Harlan was born October 28, 1946, in Maryville to Jay and Fleta (Smith) Piearson. A laborer for the City of Maryville, he lived his lifetime in this area.
He was a member of the Assembly of God/Community of Faith Church in Maryville.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers Noble Piearson and an infant Paul Piearson; four half-brothers Archie, Jay Jr, Russell and Miller Pierson and his companion Debbie Watts.

Pistole, Edith J. - Edith Jean Pistole, 89, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 8, 2015, in Maryville, MO. Born September 2, 1926, to Earl and Norma (Voshell) Browning near Elmo, MO.
Edith attended Plum Grove School and graduated from Hopkins High School in 1944. After graduating high school Edith attended Northwest Missouri State College, Maryville, MO. Edith taught in country schools and was later employed by North Nodaway, R-VI in Hopkins, MO, for 22 years.
Edith married John H. Pistole on June 22, 1949, in Maryville, MO. To this union two children were born, Delbert Wesley and Janyne.
Edith was a faithful and caring wife to John, a loving Mother to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and loved her sisters children, Ted and Jeff Coleman, Becky (Coleman) Castillo and Cindee (Coleman) Reed, as her own.
Edith was a faithful member of the Hopkins Baptist Church for 60 years. She taught Primary, Junior and Adult Sunday School Classes. She served as Church Clerk, Financial Secretary and Principal of the Junior Sunday School Department. Edith also taught classes in Bible School and was the Church Organist until the time of her death.
Left to cherish the memories of a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and friend are son, Wesley (Marla) Pistole, Hopkins; daughter, Janyne (Robert) Leland, Evanston, WY; sister in law Darlene Andrews, Hopkins. There are four grandsons, John W. (Patty) Pistole, Elmo, Bill (Heather) Pistole, Maryville, Clint Schroeder, Honolulu, HI, and Cody (Kayla) Schroeder, Idaho Falls, ID, as well as four step grandsons; eight great grandsons; two great granddaughters, and one great great-grandson.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, parents; brothers, Garold and Delbert Browning; sisters, Lois and Neva Browning and Eva June Coleman; grandson Nicholas Leland, and great grandson, Hagen Leland.
Edith will be sadly missed by the large community of relatives and friends.
Joint memorial services for Edith and John Pistole will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at the Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, MO. Military Rites for John Pistole will be conducted at the conclusion of services. John Pistole passed away on July 18, 2014.

Charlie was born December 27, 1930, in Gilman City, Missouri to Emil E and Anna Maxine (Vance) Plymell.
He married Frances Roberta Day, June 17, 1950, in Maryville.
A 1950 graduate of Maryville High School, he worked as a meat cutter for 40 years and also was an ordained minister for the Assembly of God Church for over 50 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents, son Charles Edwin, and sisters,
Betty Carpenter and Barbara Archer.
He is survived by his wife Frances, Maryville; daughter Lucretia Ann "LuAnn" Ingels, Denver, CO; grandsons Zachary Joseph and Aaron Vance Ingels; several nieces and nephews and was also looking forward to the birth of a great-grandchild, due next week.
Visitation is 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM. Burial is at Quitman Cemetery.

Helen was born on February 3, 1930, in Maryville, her parents were Grover and Goldie (Sampson) Fleenor. She had resided in Maryville her entire life.
Helen had worked many years at the former Fisher Cleaners, Maryville, and had attended the Laura Street Baptist Church, Maryville.
On July 6, 1946, Helen was united in marriage to Alvin L. Poppa. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2010. She was also preceded by her parents; her brother, Cody Grimes, 2 sisters, Ruth Dredge, and Gertrude Lee, and her grandson, Jesse Scott.
Her survivors include her 3 children, Gene (Gail) Poppa, Maryville, Boda (Robbie) Scott, Maryville, and Danny (Gina) Poppa, Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Monty (Jeri) Fleenor, Rea, MO, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Poppa has been cremated.
Memorial graveside services and burial will be at 10:00 AM, on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville. Pastor Paul McKim will be the officiant.
No formal visitation is planned.

Martin was a member of the St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville, and served on the White Cloud Township Board for 24 years.

Kenneth was born January 18, 1927, in Burlington Junction, Missouri to Purl Dewey and Neva (Jones) Shell.
A 1945 graduate of Horace Mann High School, Maryville, he was a farmer and carpenter with the Carpenter's Union #110, St. Joseph and helped his son Scott with Shell Roofing.
He married Dorothy (Whitehead) Shell on Saturday, March 19, 1949, in Maryville, Missouri.
He served his country in the US Navy during World War II.
Kenneth was a member of the Wilcox United Methodist Church, Eagles Lodge Aerie #3669, and the James Edward Gray American Legion Post
#100, all of Maryville. For many years Kenny was the caretaker of the Wilcox Cemetery.

Shewey, Erika - Erika Shewey, 76, of Skidmore, MO, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at her home in Skidmore.
Erika was born on July 2, 1939, in Mannhiem-Rheinau, Germany. Her parents were Karl F. and Anna Maria (Jacob) Gehrig. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her son Kenneth Karl Shewey, in 1963; 3 brothers, Karl, Rudi, and Kurt Gehrig; and 3 sisters Paula Stapf, and two of her triplet sisters, Ursula and Gisela Gehrig.
Erika was a high school graduate in Germany prior to meeting her future husband, Kenneth L. Shewey, Sr, they were married in Mannheim Germany, on October 23, 1959.
Erika and Kenneth moved to Quitman, MO, in February 1960, then to Fort Riley, KS, before moving back to Quitman in 1965. Erika became a US Citizen on October 4, 1965. They moved to Skidmore in 1969.
She was a member of the Skidmore Christian Church. She loved cooking German Food, crocheting, light houses, camping at the lake and hunting.
Her survivors include her husband, Kenneth L. Shewey, Sr., of the home, Skidmore, MO; 3 children, Christiane (Arthur) Mack, Skidmore, Mary (Rick) Stanton, Skidmore, and Kenneth L. (Tracy) Shewey, Jr., Skidmore; 1 sister, Ruth Schlecht, Bruhl, Germany; 6 grandchildren, Melissa Ebrecht, Teresa (Steven) Lawson, Jasmaine Motley, Alexandria and Cody Shewey, and Tillie Stanton; and several nieces and nephews.

Shipley, Robert David - Robert David Shipley, 62, of Burlington Junction, MO, passed from this life on Friday, August 28, 2015, at his home.
Robert was born on January 8, 1953, in Maryville, MO, to R. Willie and Helen C. (Batt) Shipley. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Anna Frances Shipley, Susan Elizabeth Moberg; wife, Barbara D. Shipley.
He was a 1971 graduate of the West Nodaway High School, Burlington Junction, MO, and lived all his life in the area. He spent 28 years at Enegizer in Maryville in the maintenance department.
He had a lifelong love of horses and shared that passion with family and friends. He was a member of the Hoof and Horn Saddle Club, Burlington Junction, MO.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 31, 2015, at the Burlington Junction Christian Church, Burlington Junction, MO. Cremation will be completed after the service.

Snow, Derrel Martin - Derrel Martin Snow, 74, Maryville, Missouri, died Sunday, September 13, 2015.
Derrel was born January 7, 1941, in Grant City, Missouri to Daniel Martin Snow and Goldie Kathleen (Lane) Snow
A 1959 graduate of Sheridan High School, he was the president of Derrel Snow Inc. of Maryville.
He married Anne Margaret Womersley July 30, 1962, in St. Joseph, Missouri. He served his country with the US Army for three years.
Derrel was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Harold and Keith Snow.
Surviving him are his wife: Anne Snow, of their home in Maryville; four children: David Snow, Omaha, Nebraska; Mark Snow, Graham, Missouri; Stephen Snow and Nancy Snow, both of Maryville; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister: Maxine Dreher, Junction City, Kansas and nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.

Steinbrenner, Jacqueline Marie, Sister - Sister Jacqueline Marie Steinbrenner OSB, 77, Clyde, Missouri passed away on July 23, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Jacqueline Marie was born December 20, 1937 in St Louis, Missouri. Her parents were Leo and Wilomena (Lusser) Steinbrenner. She received her Elementary and High School education at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School in St. Louis, Missouri.
After high school Jacqueline joined the Franciscan Sisters of Ferguson, Missouri. She made her First Profession on August 12, 1957 and Final Vows on August 12, 1960. Sr. Jacqueline Marie became a teacher. After sixteen years as a Franciscan, she began her search for a more contemplative vocation. This drew her to the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, Clyde, where she transferred on September 8, 1974.
Sr. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Leo Steinbrenner.
Survivors include many nephews, cousins, friends and her Monastic Community.
A Vigil Service will be 7:00 pm Sunday, July 26, 2015, in the Our Lady of Rickenbach Chapel, Clyde, Missouri.

Stephens, Alma Fern - Alma Fern Stephens, 100, Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Maryville, died Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Northcare Hospice, Kansas City.
Alma was born November 30, 1914, in Faucett, Missouri to Roy and Goldie (Jeffers) Campbell.
A graduate of Bolckow, Missouri High School, she was a homemaker.
Alma married William Lloyd Stephens August 4, 1932, in Troy, Kansas.
She was a member of the Wilcox United Methodist Church, where she served as Treasurer for many years; Rosanna Chapter #262, Order of Eastern Star; Shell Grove Club, and formerly served on the Green Township Election Board; and as President of the Quitman High School PTA for two years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Lloyd Stephens (March 13, 1999); two daughters Norma McCall and Carol Davis; Sons-in-law: Jerry Davis, Orville Hamilton, Ralph McCall, and Russell Rosenbohm; brothers Milton and Jim Campbell and sister Marge Scott.
Surviving Alma are three children: Ronald (Rosie)Stephens, Kansas City, MO; Shirley Hamilton and Kathy (Don) Cochran, all of Gladstone, MO; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville. It will be followed by the Funeral Services at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville.

Stinnett, Jo Ann Hoffman - Jo Ann Stinnett, 80, Grant City, Missouri, formerly of Skidmore, Missouri, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at SSM Hospital, Maryville, Missouri. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
JoAnn was born July 29, 1935, the daughter of William and Minnie (Ott) Hoffman in Oregon, Missouri. JoAnn was married to Ira Perry, Donald Spillman and AB “Babe” Stinnett, whom she married on August 3, 1965 in Bozeman, Montana. From these marriages nine children were born: Debra Perry, Bob Perry, Scott Spillman, Gail Spillman, Danny Stinnett, Janie Stinnett, Terry Stinnett, Sandra Stinnett and Juanita Stinnett.
She was a homemaker, painter, baker and an avid gardener who loved her flowers.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Babe, on January 6, 2006; a son: Bobby Perry; siblings: Cleo, Junior, Beverly, Neta and Lola and grandchildren: Lewis Teagarden Jr, Branson Perry and Wendy Gillenwater.
Survivors include her children: Debra Moore and husband: Robert, Grant City, Missouri; Scott Spillman and wife: Sherry, Kansas City, Missouri; Gail MacMurray, Grant City, Missouri; Danny Stinnett and wife: Patricia, Maitland, Missouri; Janie Lent, Skidmore, Missouri; Terry Stinnett and wife: Nettie, Skidmore, Missouri; Sandra Gillenwater, Rae, Missouri; Jaunita Poppa and her husband, Mike, Maryville, Missouri; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Summa, Craig - Craig Summa, 77, of Maryville, MO, passed from this life peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2015, in Maryville.
Craig was born in Kansas City, MO, on March 3, 1938. His parents were J. Lloyd and Ruth (Austin) Summa. His mother preceded him in death a few years after his birth, and his father remarried Virgina (Grooms) Summa, who raised him. He was preceded in death by his father; his wife Billee, in 2007; his brother Rex Summa; and his mother in law Dolores (George) Summa.
Craig graduated in 1956 from Albany High School, and later attended NWMSU in Maryville. He served his country in the Missouri Army National Guard, and was a member of the Elks Lodge #760, Maryville. He was of the Baptist faith.
On June 14, 1959, In Albany, MO, Craig was united in marriage to Billee P. George. She passed away on October 7, 2007.
Craig was the owner/operator of the Summa Implement Co, Maryville. That business was founded in 1947 by his father, and Craig had worked there from an early age.
Craig is survived by his children, Lesli (Summa)Bills, Nashville, TN, and Kent (Anna) Summa, Maryville, MO; brother, Dr. James Michael "Mick" (Jeanette) Summa, Seattle, WA; sister in law, Georgalee George, Rockford, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The minister will be Pastor Paul McKim. The burial will follow in the Nodaway Memorial Gardens, also of Maryville.
No formal visitation is planned.

Thomas, Paschal - Fr. Paschal Thomas, O.S.B., 80, Conception, Missouri was born into Eternal Life Friday, October 9, 2015, at St. Stephens Infirmary, Conception Abbey.
Fr. Paschal was born October 11, 1934, in Kulathurampatty, Madras State, India, to Antony and Papa (Marianmal) Thomas.
He was a graduate of various universities in India and Europe and was ordained to Sacred Priesthood March 19, 1959. He professed his Monastic Vows September 14, 1980.
Fr. Paschal had assignments as Professor of Sociology at Conception Seminary College; computer operator, Printery House, spiritual director.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his monastic community and nephew, Ignatius A. Dhanaraj of Trichy, India.
Visitation is 6:00 PM Sunday, October 11, 2015, with Vespers of the Dead at 7:15 PM,, The Basilica of Immaculate Conception, Conception, Missouri.

Gene was born November 14, 1924, in Pickering, Missouri to Isaac A. and Ethel Kessiah (Sharr) Treese.
Gene was a truck driver, mechanic, and foreman for Trailiner.
He married Betty Carmichael July 14, 1945, in Richmond, California.
He served his country in the Navy during World War II .
Gene was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church at Orrsburg, Missouri.
Gene was preceded in death by his wife Betty (9-3-2011), brothers Irvin L. Treese, Bernard Treese, Donald Treese, and sisters Verna Collins, Irene Staten, and Reva Newberry.
Surviving are sons Lonnie E. Treese, Saint Joseph, MO, Roger Dale (Nancy) Treese, Maryville, MO., and Michael L. (Elaine) Treese, Maryville, TN., sister Iva Thompson, Maryville, MO; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great -grandchildren.

Ulmer, Agnes Arlene Hiner - Agnes Arlene Ulmer, 78, Maryville, Missouri, died Monday, September 21, 2015, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home, Savannah, Missouri.
Agnes was born February 4, 1937, in Sac City, Iowa to Charles Basil and Goldie Elizabeth (Moutray) Hiner.
A 1955 graduate of Grant City High School, Agnes received a Dietary Managers degree from University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
She married Jimmie Joe Ulmer in 1978. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2000.
Agnes was a member of the Laura Street Baptist Church, Maryville, Missouri. She was an amazing woman with a huge heart. Agnes will be greatly missed but will continue to live on in her loved ones’ hearts.
In addition to her husband, Jimmie Joe Ulmer, Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; children: Phyllis Campbell and Harold Campbell and brothers: John Charles Hiner and Doyle Hiner.
Survivors include her daughters: Amanda Ulmer, Houston, Texas Patricia Ann Campbell, Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Heidi Orpin and Stephanie Etimo, both of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Patsy Conrad, Tulsa, Oklahoma; step sons: John Ulmer and Kevin Ulmer, San Antonio, Texas.

Sandra was born June 23, 1949, in Maryville to Arthur Jesse and Jeanne Kathleen (Hill) Goodwin. On March 20, 1978, Sandra and Richard Stanley Vance were united in marriage in Glenwood, Iowa.
A graduate of Nishna Valley High School in Hastings, Nebraska, she was a former cook for Gray's Truck Stop in Maryville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard Vance (November 16, 1988); son-in-law Roger Hunt and brother-in-law Tom Mandina.

Whipple, Richard Wayne - Richard Wayne Whipple was born December 11, 1955 at Elmo, Missouri, to George Ernest and Lora Margerie (Hamilton) Whipple.
Richard lived locally most of his life. He farmed until ill health forced his retirement in 2002.
He passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lora and grandson Jayden Whipple.

Vera was born August 30, 1916, in Wheatland, Wyoming to Clarence Edwin and Ada Gertrude (Archer) Headrick.
A 1934 graduate of Maryville High School, she operated her own catering business and specialized in wedding cakes.
She married Eldon Harold Williams August 22, 1936, in Lawrence, Kansas.
Vera was a member of the Skidmore, Missouri Christian Church, Rockford Community Club, Soroptimist International, Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of Eastern Star, Business and Professional Women and the Oats Bus Board of Directors.
Preceding in death: her husband Eldon (July 6, 1977) , her parents; siblings Edwin Headrick, Leland Headrick, Helen Gertrude Headrick, Mildred Suter, and Luella Moehring.

Wilson, David A. Sr - David Arthur Wilson, Sr., 57, of Rosendale, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 3, 2015, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO.
Dave was born on December 20, 1957, in Maryville, MO, to Wayne and Janila J. (Baker) Wilson. His Father preceded him in death on May 20, 2009; and his grandson Parker Wilson, on August 1, 2011.
He was a Maryville High School graduate with the class of 1976.
Dave worked in maintenance at Deluxe Manufacturing for 31 years and after his father’s death he ran Wilson Printing, both of Maryville, MO. He retired from both in 2014 due to his illness.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; to camp and ride his Harley and he didn't know a stranger.
He was a member and attended the Maryville Church of Christ.
On May 14, 2004 in Rosendale, he was united in marriage to Sheri Ann Lewis, and she survives of the home in Rosendale.
Other survivors include his children, Dave and wife Cindy Wilson, Rosendale. Tara Wilson, Tyler Wilson, both of Maryville, Drew and wife Tiffany Bisig, Oregon, MO, and Brittany Bisig, Rosendale; 7 grandchildren, Treyton Farley, Avery White, Brody White, Taylor Wilson, Kaylee Wilson, Jersie Puckett, and Austin Bisig; 3 siblings, Roger and wife Kelley Wilson, Greenwood, IN, Sandra and husband Chuck Wray, Maryville, and Jim and wife Terri Wilson, Maryville; brother and sister in laws, Eddie and Debbie Lewis, Ozawkie, KS, and Chris and Mona Baker, Corydon, IA; father and mother in law, Lyle and Wilda Lewis, Rosendale; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 6, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will follow in the Miriam Cemetery, also of Maryville. The officiants will be Dony Rodriquez and Don Peters.
