This is a request for any family history that you might have for John H. Black in Nodaway County, MO.
John H. Black and wife Lucretia had 3 children:
Lucy Maud Black born 1882 in Virginia
Mary Jane Black born 1886
Johnnie H. Black born 1888
They apparently had a divorce, or he died just after the last child because Lucretia married Lafayette Cox in April of 1990 at Mound City, MO. Lafayettee and new wife Lucretia then moved to Lebanon, Red Willow County, NE --- near McCook, NE.
The Black family moved to Nodaway Counly, I believe, because family members had come earlier:
Lucretia's brother Woodson Harvey Gillespie (Skidmore, MO)
and
John H. Black's father William Thomas Black (Graham, MO)
