All counties available for
adoption are listed here, counties others are interested in
adopting are listed below. Interested in one of the listed counties? Please drop us a note. Please use "MOGenWeb County Adoption" as
your message subject. The adoption process will be
on a first come basis. If for some reason the first person listed cannot
take the county, it will go to the next person in line. Current
coordinators - if you need to place your county for adoption, PLEASE contact the SC or ASC and the county will be added to the
current list of counties for adoption.

Don't want to adopt a
county, but would like to be involved? Each county coordinator has
thoughts about what they'd like to add to their pages,
but time doesn't always allow for transcribing primary reference material, researching a
particular place or subject, locating where/what reference
material is available, tracking down who has various cemetery records, etc. If you'd
like to offer your assistance to a particular county, e-mail the
county coordinator directly.

Send an e-mail with
'adopt' in the subject line to the SC or ASC. Also, see Volunteer Basics for information about becoming a county coordinator.
When your desired county becomes available you will be notified by email and given 14 days to respond.
Note:
The current county coordinator (CC) has first choice on the person whom he or she chooses to give his or her county. If the CC does not
have a prospective replacement coordinator in mind, he or she will then consult this Wish List.
Please keep your email address current with
the State Coordinator or ASC if your name is on this wish list.
