Mrs.
Mary Hattersley passed away at 5 p.m. Friday at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Hattersley. She
is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Will Hattersley
and 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson. They are
Mrs. Georgia Hattersley Haden, Savanna, Ill., Mrs.
Wilma Hattersley Johnson, of Mexico, Mrs. Murline
McIntyre Olliver, of Mexico, and Latour Hattersley,
of Long Beach, Calif., 3 great-grandchildren, Mary
Lou Haden, Julian and Jack Hattersley of California.
Mrs.
Hattersley will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Funeral
was held at Victor Christian Church Sunday. Rev.
W.J. Jarman, of Paris, preached the funeral and
burial was in Lick Creek Cemetery, at Perry.
Mrs.
Georgia Hayden, Mrs. Wilma Johnson and Mrs. Murline
Olliver have been at the bedside of their
grandmother, Mrs. Mary Hattersley the past week.
Mrs.
Molly Calhoon continues to improve.

Joe Ricks is ill with scarlet fever.
Mrs.
L.B. Walton is suffering with sinus trouble.

Jean Gentry has the measles.
Mrs.
Bess Bare of new London, visited friends here last
week.
Miss
Doris Carpenter spent last week with her uncle, Al
Carpenter and family.
Mrs.
Bess Bare, Mrs. Molly Buffington, Mrs. Allene Adams,
Mrs. W.J. Friday and son visited Mrs. Will Francis
and Miss Julia Hinkle Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs.
Everett Francis, Hulda Sue Francis and Lillie Ann
Calhoon visited Mrs. Will Francis Saturday.
Peggy
Wilmarth visited Betty Jean and Edna June Gentry
Sunday afternoon.
Sunday
School was not held at Fairview Union Church Sunday
because of Mrs. Mary Hattersley’s funeral
being at that time.
Mrs.
Zelma Gentry went to Kansas City last week for
several weeks’ visit with her daughter and son,
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Shepherd and son, Jim Bob, Mr. and
Mrs. James Gentry and sons, Ronald Lee and Martin
David.

Friday hauled lime Saturday for George Street.
Charley
Lutz will to to St. Louis Tuesday. He will
spend the winter there.
Mr.
and Mrs. W. S. Woodyard will leave soon for Arkansas
to spend the winter with her parents.
