Barr School Has Program Children Present Entertainment Directed by Teacher Monroe City, Mo., October 11, 1935 – Under the direction of the teacher, Miss Rosemary McAllister, the pupils of the Barr school presented the following program in the school building Wednesday evening: Son, “Hello, Hello”—All Salutatory – Evelyn Hatton Recitation, “October” – Alvern Shivley Speeches – Betty Lou Blackwell, Josephine Dexter, Mildred Burditt Broom Song – Primary grades Ten Little Pumpkin Faces – All Dialog, “Mrs. Brown’s Visitors” – Evelyn Hatton, Doris Blackwell, Louise Musgrove and Alvern Shivley Ghostics – Robert Carpenter Halloween Reflections – Paul Carpenter Play, “Rumpus on Gingerbread Hill” – Evelyn Hatton, Louise Musgrove, Robert Carpenter, Alvern Shivley, Doris Blackwell and Billie Joe McClintic Seein’ Things – Eugene Dexter Piano Duet, “Little Journey” – Paul and Robert Carpenter Dialog, “Lucinda’s Mistake” – Evelyn Hatton and Billie Joe McClintic Dr. Johnson’s Picture Cow – Robert Carpenter “Amaryllis” – Rhythm Band Duet, “Isle of Capri” – Louise Musgrove and Doris Blackwell Goodnight song – All Following the program, a pie and pound supper was held.
