Permission of all
known kin was obtained before reburial took place. Mrs. Carl Bounds was
appointed to assist the Corps of Engineers in the work. She was assisted by
her husband and they spent many long hours and had many and varied experiences
as they accomplished the work. Another cemetery was the Scobee burial ground
with all graves brought to Walnut Grove. Others were moved to Florida
Cemetery, Stoutsville, Pleasant Hill and Walnut Grove Cemeteries.
