Bryan, colored, of this place, and his whole family,
consisting of his wife and three children, have been
poisoned by drinking water from a barrel in which had been
placed some poisonous substance. The symptoms are those of
arsenical poisoning, and suspicion points very strongly to a
young colored man, with whom Bryan had a personal difficulty
on Sunday, and who was seen in the vicinity of the residence
of the family a short time before they were taken sick. The
children not having taken so freely of the water as the
parents, were soon relieved, but man and woman are in a
critical condition. |
