Francis Marion Cox
Francis
Marion Cox was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He
married Sallie Chapman in Shelbina, MO on
January 25, 1882. Sallie was born in Paris, MO.
They had four children: Everett, Gertrude,
William and Earl. Francis died at his home just
north of Paris, MO on May 15, 1896 after a short
illness at the age of 46 years. Sallie died in
1935 at the age of 73 years. They had lived
their entire married life and raised their
children on a farm just north of Paris, MO. Both
Francis and Sallie are buried in the Salem
Church Cemetery in Paris. (submitted
