Built
in 1871 by William Fitzhugh Buckner. Mr. Buckner died in 1929
at the age of 101 years. Mr. Buckner’s eighty years of
membership was the longest number of years in any Masonic
Lodge in the United States. He was also the last surviving
Veteran of the Mexican War. The original house contained eight
rooms, a cellar, a large front veranda, large front and back
halls, rooms were 16 by 16 feet. Around 1900 a bath and a room
were added and a basement dug under the middle of the house
