Dobson Cemetery

Equality Township

Section 15, Township 40 North, Range 14 West

Miller County, MO.

From Tuscumbia take Hwy 17 across the bridge and to the next state road to the right (Hwy F).  Go to the end of the pavement and proceed another 1/4 mile to the cemetery, which lies on the left side of the gravel road.  Part of the cemetery is surrounded and enclosed in concrete, which encases one stone.  Two stones sit in the open although it has fallen over and now lies outside the wall.  There are other field stones put in a circle.  It is evident that there are other sunken places where there is a grave, but no stones. This cemetery has daffodils in the spring and the cemetery is easily seen from the road.

This cemetery is no longer in use. The owners of this property are Jack and Joyce Brumley.

Jack and Joyce Brumley are so kind and friendly.  They personally took us up to the cemetery to get pictures.  He brought his shovel, pick axe, and loppers to assist us in getting to the stones.  They are talking about fixing up the cemetery and putting in a gate, making it accessible to others.  Thank you so much, we had a wonderful time.
