Bievans Cemetery

Richwood Township

Sections 6, Township 38 North, Range 12 West

Miller County, MO.

From junctions 42 & 17 in Iberia, take Hwy 17 south to Charcoal Kiln road and turn left.  Go to Pear Orchard and turn left.   Go .5 miles to the cemetery on the right.  This cemetery is in a field, surrounded by stately trees, enclosed with broken concrete blocks.   The blocks can be seen from the road in early spring and goes approximately 300 feet into the field.   There are only two stones to be found and only one is legible, but the other is definitely a tombstone which years of weathering has caused the stone to be unreadable.

This cemetery is no longer in use.

Robert K. & Dorinda had a child born in 1858 and Dorinda died the following year.  This unknown stone is possibly an infant.  Dorinda may have died in childbirth.  Robert Bievans remarried Catherine Hoskin a year after Dorinda died.
