Barnes Cemetery is located in section 10 of Medicine Township in southeastern Mercer County. From Princeton, go south on highway 65 for approximately two miles and turn left (east) on blacktop E. Follow E approximately four miles to blacktop C and turn right (south). Go south on C approximately seven miles to where it intersects with blacktop JJ and turn left (east). Go east approximately one mile. There will be a sign for "Barnes Cemetery" on the left side of the road and a gate allowing access to a farm lane. Follow this lane (actually a very old road) through the trees for approximately 1/2 mile to the cemetery. This "road" is in poor condition and should not be attempted during or immediately after any inclemate weather. The cemetery itself is in poor condition and was abandoned and overgrown for several years. Someone has put forth a lot of effort to clean it up and make it accessable, but many of the stones are down, broken, worn and unreadable.

Other sources were used for additional information, but this should still not be considered a complete list of burials. This page is for reference only, it will not be updated
