It was great to know that when I had a problem, Betty was there to help resolve
it. About the last time I corresponded with her, she said that while she didn't
want to leave us, at least she would be on the other side of those brick walls
that genealogists frequently hit and she was going to hunt up her illusive
ancestors. She is being missed.
Phyllis Rippee

Betty Brooks was the most generous genealogist in Warren County. She gave so
much of herself, you would have thought every family she helped with was her
own. Generous with her time, her research, her expertise, she shared so much,
and will be truly missed by all.

Josephine "Jo" Dunne
It is with great sadness that I pass on the news that Jo Dunne
passed away on Saturday August 7, 2010. Jo passed away from lung cancer. She had
moved from Springfield, MO to live with her son & daughter-in-law in California
for the last several months.
We will all miss her and her great work to keep this site [Stone County, MOGenWeb - ed] the very best and always up to date.
She was a dear friend to all of us and a personal best friend to me for the
past ten years. She leaves all of us with the great legacy of her tireless
work.
Note: I could not find an Obituary nor was there anything on F~A~G.
Jo did a tremendous amount of work on her County and it is deeply
appreciated. |
