Miles, James Russell, 86, of Merritt Island, Fla, died Saturday, October 15, 1994. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Belcher; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. Miles, Kimball, WV; one brother, Robert Miles; his grandparents, Captain Robert E. Miles and wife, a Civil War Verteran from Montgomery Co. Survivors are three sons, James H. Miles Jr. and familhy, Alexandria, VA, W. Joseph Miles and family, Clayton, MO. Dr. Thomas P. Miles and family Santa Rosa, CA; one brother, Ward P. Miles, Brandon, FL; also surviving are a host of cousins from theRoanoke/Salem Valley, including the families of: Molly Miles Sisson, Lena Miles Jewell, Cora Miles Sisson, Johnny Miles, Leona Miles Sisson and George and Maggie S. Poff. He was a Physicist with the NASA Space Center; and was an active in the 55+ Club; played the violin in the Symphony Orchestra. Memorial services will be 2 P.M. Saturday, October 22, 1994. Coca United Methodist Church.
